The Punisher & Martinez have heavy credentials at 154,their both prime & their both big!!Floyd's only outing at 154 was against a fading DLH!!The only deference between the Punisher & Martinez compared to Floyd & Manny are superstar status!!

The Punisher was a 2 time welterweight champion I believe,1 for sure,he took Margarito's title when Margarito was beasting fools!!When Margarito was prime,which prime elite welterweight has Floyd or Manny EVER sonned??NONE,nada,zip,ZERO,how the hell aren't they in the same class??

At 154 Manny nor Floyd are proven on the elite level,the Punisher & Martinez are,so at 154 they are on the same level as Floyd & Manny & if either thought that they could beat Martinez & the Punisher,Manny wouldn't be fighting a faded Margarito for a 154 pound title at 150 & Floyd wouldn't be taking a ****ing vacation,period!!

SSM was the lineal champ and consensus #1 ranked ww when he fought floyd. margarito is tough but he is not great. As far as beasting, uhh he had lost to Daniel Santos in Sept 2004 and KO'd Kermit Cintron twice. Not exactly top flight comp there? Can we agree at least on that? They are the BEST at 154 we agree, They are not elite fighters IMO yet. Fair pint that floyd and manny would both choose money fightsover the challenge both bring.

My only point is Martinez and Paul deserve to face floyd and Manny but IMO they are not elite fighters yet. martinez gave away the fight to Paul by taking rounds off. Kermit Cintron was even with paul before they stopped.

No matter how old Mosley was he was the consensus #1 ww and the lineal champ. The thing is if they fight 5 yrs earlier Mosley is better but so is floyd. Respectfully, Martinez won a belt floyd vacated 2 years ago.

I agree with you 100% they deserve higher rankings at 154 than both. But they are not elite fighters. I think this is the only thing we disagree about. I would call them very good fighters. I would call manny and floyd elite.
