BUT he always comes to fight. Martinez rematch is
Williams biggest fight and if Williams doesn't take it
he's ducking in my book because he is not getting
Pacquiao or Floyd. This is the smartest move to make
especially since HBO wants it to happen.
I personally thought the fight was close and to be honest you all can debate this all you want but I take a much simpler approach to Paul Williams. Because all I had to do was watch Paul Williams fight one time and I asked myself two questions. The first one was,"The most feared fighter in three weight divisions?" and than shorty there after, "I don't understand why?" Because what I had heard was that Paul was a beast and than what I saw was a very flawed fighter who wings an awful lot of arm punches. And for as tall as he is also way to easy to hit. I also believe he gets way to much credit for beating two very old fighters, who have not fought since. He also got his butt handed to him by a fighter he should have never lost to if he is indeed as bad as his fans claim he is. I will say that he does deserve credit for the KO in the rematch. However, by the looks of things that seems like it was more of a fluke than anything else. Paul also has forty fights and is only 2-1 in title fights and has not dominated any divisions. So, how can he possibly be labeled the most feared fighter if he has not even dominated any particular weight division? And I will say it again he is only 2-1 in title fights it ain't like were talking Carlos Monzon here. And as far as the Martinez fight is concerned. I do believe Sergio won and this is why. I thought he looked better when he won a particular round and sort of did what he wanted when he wanted to do it. Its like the knock downs in the first round were sort of the way the fight went. Williams scores a flash knock down on an off balance Sergio and than he returns the favor by putting Paul on ***** street. I will say that in all honesty I am by far no expert and I am simply just a some what obsessive boxing fan who has loved the sport for over thirty years. In closing I will tell you my opinion, whether it's right or wrong, of Paul Williams. I believe he is by far one of the most overrated fighters I have ever seen. But, I am open minded so there is room for him to change my opinion of him.

    • If Williams goes with Dzinziruk instead of Martinez then he's a clown in my book. I know I may sound like a hater who's being harsh, but that's just my opinion. Dzinziruk has no noteworthy fights or fighters on his resume while Martinez has stopped Bunema, KOd Cintron and got robbed, and the rest speaks for itself. Paul is skating on some thin ice with me by ducking this rematch.

        Are you... kidding me?

        Santos > Bunema & Cintron.

Not to mention he beat one loss Joel Julio before Kirkland or Angulo did.

Santos lost to Yuri fuckin Foreman and Julio got destroyed by Kirkland and Angulo while Dzinziruk struggled with him. Don't try to tell me this is a better fight than the Martinez rematch because it's not.

Santos was shot against Foreman... he was still good, and coming off of a win over Antonio Margarito. The best fighter on either resume is Santos, except for Kelly Pavlik... I forgot somehow. What is wrong with me?

Anyway, I'm not saying that. Dzinziruk is a very good win for Williams, but Martinez is better. I do think it is just setting up the rematch though.

Believe me, I wasn't one of the dudes on here beating the Williams is ducking Dzinziruk drum a year ago like these other posters were. So if I complain about Williams not fighting Martinez these people like Burner can't accuse me of flip flopping. I know Williams would've fought Dzinziruk if the Pavlik deal didn't get signed. Which it did, and Pavlik pulled out. The only fight I want is a Martinez rematch. Nothing more, nothing less.

Dzinziruk beat the **** out of a PRIME Santos.

Foreman fought a shot weight drained Santos who was coming off a 17 month layoff.

Dziniziruk schooled Julio and took his soul.

Julio was damaged goods when he fought Kirkland and Angulo.

                  YOU FAIL

                  • I wonder who he is gonna pick? LOL That boy is avoiding Sergio like the plague. Most feared may my a$$. These guys kill me, why dont he want to get back with sergio again??? Come on Paul HBO is offering the cheddar, sergio and louie d are down, what about you? Just another example of fighters these days looking for an easy pay day and avoiding the best. Sad situations, cant even count on the punisher

                    • And another question I got is if he does fight Dzinziruk how much of pay cut is he gonna take since HBO is offering $3 mill for him to fight Martinez? Are you trying to tell me Dzinziruk offers that much money over here? If Williams goes after Dzinziruk instead, then he it will look to me like he is afraid of fighting Martinez again and beating him simply because he isn't confident he can win again.
