Martinez is a boxer who has problems with power and aggression. i don't care how slick or how much you dance. if power & aggression is your weakness those are demons that you have to fight through. just beacuse a fighter dances around doesn't mean thats a automatic win over another fighter who comes forward. especially if dealing with aggression isn't one of his strong points.
we will agree to disagree.Comment

aren't you in america????? weird. lacy almost got knocked out in the amatures with full head gear. is this some kind of joke? kirkland and lacy are as far from each other as the earth is to the moon. also. most european fighters suck. the only division europeans "dominate" is a fat sloppy one. the super six proved europeans will never get over that ladder lol even when they are the favorites to win they some how find a way of losing lolol what a joke. comparing european fighters to american fighters is like comparing a million bucks to someons azz cheeks.

I love Kirkland and cant wait for his comeback but he was never gonna dominate anything, exciting as hell but a touch crude and slightly vulnerable, Conyers had him in trouble and he is a mega bum!Comment

James Kirkland is nothing but a criminal. He had a bright career ahead of him, but instead of dedicating himself to boxing, he threw it all away by committing the crimes he did.
He's a bum as far as I'm concerned. And Martinez schools him anyway. F**k him. I'm tired of pieces of trash with chips on their shoulders like Kirkland being hyped up and given big opportunities, when there are far more deserving fighters out there.Comment

I like Kirkland. He's damn exciting. But he's been in prison for what? Two years? That's a waste. I don't think he would have ever been a special fighter, but he would have been in some great fights over the last couple of years that's for sure.
Lets say pre prison Kirkland vs post Jacobs Pirog.
Kirkland comes running out and puts Pirog under immediate pressure, swinging and missing wildly. Pirog stays on the backfoot slipping most of Kirklands shots, replying with counters of his own. There will be a couple of rounds like above. By the third or fourth round, Pirog would have figured Kirkland out. Kirkland comes rushing in swinging wildly and then Pirog catches him with some huge counter shots sending Kirkland to the canvas. Kirkland gets up and continues to fight recklessly. Pirog takes his time and then sends Kirkland back to the canvas with a fight ending punch.Comment

Again...your "problems with agression" goes back to one fight a decade ago. What about Kirklands problems? They're far more numerous than Martinez'sMartinez is a boxer who has problems with power and aggression. i don't care how slick or how much you dance. if power & aggression is your weakness those are demons that you have to fight through. just beacuse a fighter dances around doesn't mean thats a automatic win over another fighter who comes forward. especially if dealing with aggression isn't one of his strong points.
