also. if Martinez could beat any "1 dimensional fighter easily" as you claim. he should have easily beat margarito. he should have easily beat williams (because williams fought him flat footed and 1 dimensional) willams who doesn't have the same power as kirkland gave martinaz all he could handle by just coming forward pressuring him LOL imagine what kirkland would do who would land out right BOMBS on him with relentless margarito type pressure. not a pretty sight.

the beast will be realeased. grab your popcorn and soda and enjoy.
Still on that Margarito fight huh? Thats your only reference. A fight 10 years ago....thats like still using Pacquiao's loss to Singsurat lol.

Martinez did beat Williams imo and handled his pressure pretty well. Williams is longer than Kirkland and throws punches from weird angles. Kirkland is way more predictable and his defence is possibly worse.

If you wanna get into "look what he did, imagine what he would do" aka lame triangle theories. Then look at all of Kirklands big fights. He got tagged easily and hurt by nobodies. Imagine what an accurate puncher like Martinez would do.

Kirkland will bring excitement but hes got a short shelf life and it only takes one thorough beating (like the one he'd receive from Martinez) to extinguish the fire he has in him.

I don't think he can beat either Martinez or PWill(thats if they are 154 and not 160), but everyone else in that division he could beat.

of course i am still on the margarito fight. it's one of his biggest fights. you can float off in space and believe what ever it is you want to believe. but the fact remains, the Martinez who fought margarito hasn't changed much. anyone that studies the two styles would see this.

after fighting margarito martinez went on to defeat 28 opponents with EAS. that tells you that it was margaritos style who gave Martinez the trouble and not "martinez being green or bad at the time"

me comparing the sergio who fought margarito is like me comparing the pac who fought marquez 7 years ago. it's a VALID argument because the styles haven't changed much. but if you want to float off in space and create some other realty according to the clouds thats you.

i am not using triangle theories. i am making a valid point. paul willams is not a real pressure guy. (he's not a powerful guy) he's just a volume puncher and he gives up his height. paul willams is kinda overrated if you ask me. kirkland puts on more pressure then paul and every shot that he throws it has tremendous power behind it. the man is trying to tear something apart. thats kirklands style. the same style that gave martinez hell in both his fights with willams and margarito (margaritos pressure was worse for martinez because it had a little power behind it) also, kirkland was down in one of his fights. Martinez has been wobbled, hurt, knocked out.

here is a younger Martinez. the same martinez who fought margarito at the time. if you can't see that martinaz hasn't changed much of anything i will advise you to float back in space lol how could i not bring up the margarito fight. it's the SAME style. just like pac and marquez 7 years ago. float back in space.

You think Pacquiao hasnt changed since the first Marquez fight.

That tells me pretty much all I need to know.

I would bet all of my points and a paycheck on Kirkland over Williams. That's if he comes back true to form of course.

Williams is the wrong style to beat Kirkland you need to box and use lateral movement williams doesn't have those skills, and I'm going to be 100% real Williams is deteriorating I don't know why other people cant see this but his punch resistance is going down big time. Kirkland would Knock him out.

Other than Martinez no one at 154 that I can think of can beat him.

they said int he article today they want to get him in the ring in November and against in December. So I reckon that would be two bums right off the bat. That's a good plan imo, get him in the ring asap, create some buzz

When Kirkland was out before,Angulo was too green, but since Kirkland has been down & Angulo has stayed busy, gave him some time to catch up!!If they fight early next Year I say Angulo takes it!!Kirkland probably has a little bit more pop,but Angulo isn't as rectless so I see Angulo's power hurting Kirkland more!!
