Margs does not deserve a shot at pac nor at a vacant title and Pac doesnt deserve a shot at a vacant title just to gain his 8th title in his 8th division

Clottey was not a bad pick considering it was last minute. He had always fought well, even in his losses. Against Manny, it was his first time that he fought so poorly and the first time one can say he clearly lost. Even several of his losses could have turned into wins. The big problem was that Clottey underperformed. At least that is what it looked like to all of us. I'm sure Manny had a lot to do with that but still, Clottey was in survival mode all night long.

Clottey wasn't last minute, he was always plan B. From December when Top Rank slammed the door on the Clottey-Quintana bout for no good reason. Furthermore, when you have to hype a guy by spouting off all the fights he could've won, you should know right away that he's most certainly "a bad pick." Clottey pretty much performed as expected. We gave Manny a pass because he had just fought Cotto and Clottey was a solid "rest" bout. Solid but out of his league in terms of skill and cojones.

What I like about the Margo fight is that Margo always comes to fight and will not be in survival mode from the opening bell, like Clottey was. It will have action. At least that is what I'm hoping for.

I haven't seen Margo come to fight in two years. He didn't fight that way the last time I saw him. And the time before that, he lost every second of the round and was brutally KTFO. I mean, think about that. On PPV for an impromptu title? Pass the remote, please. Nah, who am I kidding? I'll watching. But again, I won't be paying. Terrible, just terrible.

I agree. The man was in 15 championship fights for major belts and won 11 of them and was a long time welterweight champ. His resume is as good as anyones.

He is as good a choice as any with victories over a slew of good fighters, and close battles with nearly every fight he lost, save one. He's been near the top of the heap in the ww division since 2001.
