I never said anything about his ring performances being the reasonw hy he makes more than Manny. He knows how to hype and sell a fight. Do you think if Floyd took the Pac/Clottey approach to promoting the fight with Oscar it would have done 2.4 mil? I highly doubt that. People were intrigued by that. They wanted to see if Floyd could back it up and they wouldn't to see if Oscar would make him pay. But when you just sit there and listen to two guys talk about how much respect they have for each other it's pretty boring and generates no interest. But still people saying that manny generated all the ppv buys for that fight as if there are no Africans that live in the United States is ridiculous. Yes Clottey is representing Ghana but Africans will still support him. Just like when Ghana was the last African team in the World Cup all the African nations got behind Ghana. Yeah Pac was a big reason but also give credit to Cowboys stadium. With such cheap tickets I would have bought a ticket just to say I was in Cowboys stadium. So look at everything before you start giving Pacquiao ALL the credit.

Clottey clearly legitimized that fight. People act like Clottey wasn't a former world champion. I say Clottey clearly brought in 150-250 thousand buys for that fight beit boxing fans, Africans or people looking to see Manny against someone legit. I'd say Manny's numbers are around 400-500 thousand right now while Floyd is the million dollar baby.

Floyd in his last 2 fights made around 70million. He is OK right now, he is not hurting for money. Is no reason to defend a guy so adamant like you have in this tread. My post was mainly about you bringin my mom into this just so you can make your point about me being on Floyd's nuts. You was outta line so if anyone needs to be easy it's you. 2nd of all i'm not on Floyd's nuts for the last time. I think he's a hell of a boxer one of the best to ever do it. Great defense and proficient in offense. But I do defend him against racist filippinos and other races. As a black man in America I deal with race issues a lot. But it is what it is. Hey I have to give you props. This is very true, Mayweather is really a cool dude in person. I got to meet him a while back in CA. He is a very humble dude, It really surprised me. I really think he plays that evil character to help sell PPV'S? Also if you noticed during his last couple of interviews, i'm starting to see that come out. Anyone who knows anything about boxing knew that Clottey was NOT a type of boxer who brought action into the ring....type of boxer who would fade into the later rounds..not a knock-out artist..how is he going to have a large fanbase and all of a sudden bring big numbers? Clottey was not a huge name! There are a lot of Argentians that followed Baldomir ,yet the fight with Baldo-Mayweather ppv numbers didn't do so well.

At least YOU admit that... we ALL know floyd gets his money from controversy and trash talk... all hype he builds get nullified by his PERFORMANCE.... losing casual fans. since tweezy LOVES to throw racism in there, ALOT of african americans cant stand floyd & hate his style of fighting... FUTBOL is the worlds sport. btw, do you know the % of african population in TEXAS???? because im pretty sure they didnt make the fight in cowboy stadium because of the HUGE african community. since mexicans embraced manny as their own, it was a good sign that the fight would do great in texas. bob knows what he's doing.

i agree, the humble & respectful approach to manny's pre fight promo DOESNT help him... it DOES get boring.... but he makes up for it IN THE RING.... where it matters.

Ok then what about the Pac-Marquez fights? Pac brought the filippino's and Marquez brought the Mexicans and yet those fights didn't do so well. So stop trying to discredit Mayweather.
