Haha. Exactly. These guys have to just keep sticking by their BS. No one is gonna just come out and fess up that they were wrong. They'll defend everything. It's not surprising that they're still defending Floyd/GBP even after Greenburg, a third party and the top guy at HBO (Mr PPV, Floyd calls him), a guy who DESPERATELY wants to see the fight happen so they can make a truckload of money, weighs in in favour of Arum. Well, if things really went that way, then there are two facts i can think of:
1. GBP got a raw deal since they're taking a SEVERE beating media-wise and a total loss of credibility.
2. GBP got played real good by Arum who manipulated them to do EXACTLY what he wanted them to do and thus get the results most favorable to him and him alone.
However, i may very well be wrong and would not mind anyone pointing out other alternative ideas.Comment

I don't know what Al Haymon was doing but it seems clear he wasn't talking to ellerbee and schaeffer. Obviously I don't know why, but it just seems like this was done purposely so ellerbee and schaeffer can palusibly deny there were no negotitations.
It just seems contrived, especially when Margarito got interviewed in Feb 2010 and said Bob promised him a pacquio fight in November.
Al's 1st responsibility is to represent floyd as his attorney. Floyd may have told him go speak with Ross but I'm not fighting him until next year so don't tell ellerbee and schaeffer anything. If that happened then technically Bob, Ross, ellerbee and schaeffer are all telling the "truth". I feel dirty just typing that.Comment

That is a very interesting theory there. But it still shows GBP in a bad light in that they are being played by their own people.
Besides. Why would floyd jr. go out of his way to make such an elaborate scheme just to fight Pac next year?

You people are a bunch of MORONS!!! OF course Golden Boy Promotions is lying. First of all, they're trying very hard to save face, 2nd - Everyone in the world knew that negotiations were be held between both parties and the only reason the fight didn't get done is because Mayweather's crackhead uncle Roger may face jail time for him slapping around his female boxer about a year ago. Mayweather Jr. is not going to take the biggest fight of his career without having his lead trainer by his side.
And why the ****k would the President of HBO Sport lie about negotiations being held between Mayweather and Pacquiao? He has nothing to gain and everything to loose if Ross Greenburg lied about the negotiations. Golden Boy Promotions is simply saving face for their biggest meal ticket (AKA Mayweather jr.).
This would be the biggest fight in the history of boxing and you think negotiations weren't being made??? Please!!!! Give me a ****king break.... Mayweather is a lying pieces of shhitt... That Nigggga is always trash talking and now he's no where to be found. He could go ****k him self....Comment

Not so much a scheme as it is separation of powers. This way Scaheffer and Ellerbee can take and pass a lie detecting test if given. Al never talks to the media and if so, can always invoke lawyer client privilege. Since Ellerbee and ODH are mouthpieces its best to keep them out the loop (like we all wish Manny/Bob would do with Koncz).
Again, given Margarito's statement it just feels like both sidess knew a long time ago this fight wasn't happening in Novemeber.Comment
