Not in this case. Pacquiao the rule bender didn't let Cotto exceed 145 and won't let Margarito exceed 150.

Mayweather can't make his own rules. It's the NSAC's job! but let Pacquiao make his own weight classes dammit!

If all the fighters are fighting by those rules and weights why should the guy people like to call "the best fighter" not fight by the same rules?

Because he really isnt that good?
Because he really does not belong in the division?
Because he has so much money that he can make the one that dont bend to his will?
Whatever the reason it is not right.
Again not a pac fan and i know you people always need justify why I don't agree with you by calling me a pac fan but sorry friend this is more about siding with logic and not being an emotional boxing fan.

oh and whos exactly stopping other fighters from fighting at a catch weight? Hell I see it all the time just watch friday night fights and you will see all kinds of fights at unusual contracted weights.

But pac wants a catch weight and now it's this unusual thing that has never ever happened in the sport of boxing.

No I don't because Tony isn't gonna weight 154 pounds when he steps into the ring on fight night anyways. Hes gonna weigh somewhere between 165 and 170 so I wouldn't exactly call it restricting his weight now would I.

My statements stand but you can keep your LMAO's if it makes you feel good.

yeah, mosley trained his ass off to win 1 round against floyd, wow....

You and I both know that the rules are only concerned about how much a fighter weighs during the official weigh-in that takes place 24 hours before the fight.

And you're suggesting that he's going to gain 15 to 20 lbs within 24 hours? That would be pretty impressive. How much does Paul Williams gain after a weigh-in? How much did Thomas Hearns?

The funny thing is You say your no Pac fan..I am a PAc fan and A Floyd fan and more important a boxing fan.
If you see nothing wrong with this then you should try getting a job with the commissions because you too are whats wrong with boxing and the worst of it is you dont see it.
Im done here because I feel if I am having a discussion with a stone Its a shame how people are more fans of a MAN than the sport itself.
RULES TO KEEP BOXERS EVEN SHOULD STAY ENFORCED NO MATTER WHAT THE LEVEL OR MONEY. IF IT MEANS A CERTAIN WEIGHT IT SHOULD BE IF IT MEANS DRUG TESTING THAT ARE MORE ACCURATE , SO BE IT.
