and what i don't understand about this situation,

is that if Mayweather were to fight Cotto for his 154 belt at a catchweight

these same guys would be crucifying him.

people's bias towards their favorite fighters are just too disappointing at times.

So whats your standing Jesus? Both fighters should be allowed to make up their own rules? or neither?

i didnt say he beat Floyd, he landed a lot on him. I saw the fight, you look at stats.....

            i guess the 144 title?

real boxing fans only worry about lineal titles or RING titles.

Like the JWW one Manny took from Hatton. BOO YA.

I remember when Floyd fought Zab for the IBF at WW LOL.............and he claimed it was a championship title fight.....ahahahhaah.

marquez is a very smart fighter..
pacquiao had all the advantages, he was stronger, faster, weighed in both fights more etc., yet he still couldnt beat him.

                "Catchweight" is a misleading term

Many posters and bloggers continue to write as though there is only one weight in a division. For example, 154 lbs in the Jr middle. All divisions have a given range-148 to 154 in Jr middle, for example. Thus,154 is the upper limit, one more pound and you're out. Anyone who hangs on to this poundage and who is 5'11" tall, most likely is a middle weight but wants the added advantages of fighting smaller opponents. If you ask me who gains more fighting at 150 lbs, Pacquiao or Magarito, I would say neither, the weight evens things out. Without catch weights, a 148 pounder would have to face 154 pounder! This doesn't make sense! The only remedy, which also doesn't make sense, would be to have a division for each pound! In other words, if we have boxers ranging from 100 lbs to 250 lbs, we would have 150 weight divisions and titles. At least, we wouldn't need catch weights.

Seriously you guys act like im making this **** up they only showed him being force fed by Ariza like a ***ing child on the Cotto and Hatton 24/7's on HBO. While everyone else is starving themselves to make the 147 limit Pac has to eat to make it to a meager 144 pounds. Oh yeah he's a future middleweight smart guy!
No one said Pacquiao is a jr middleweight but you straight up said Pacquiao should be pampered and have things his way just because he used to fight at featherweight. Pacquiao could grab a belt at jr middle weighing in at 148, no one gives a fuck, but when he goes telling the other fighter what weight he has to weigh in at, that is ***** **** and diva like, especially when its for a title. Jr middle weight is from 148-154. So if you want to fight for the belt at that weight division and you weigh in at 148, you better be fucking ready for an opponent that might weigh in at 154 because BOTH of you will be JR MIDDLE WEIGHTS and 148-154 is the JR MIDDLE WEIGHT division. If you cant deal with a division than stay the fuck out of that division.

If Mayweather did this with a Cotto fight, I'd be right here saying the same stuff I am now. It's a cheap tactic. But here's the thing. I would have expected it from Floyd since he's all about controversy. The fact that it's Pacquiao is what's really frustrating. I expected better. =/
