Its ***ing lame and it's not like all of you are advertising that Floyd held the same belt even if it was at the full 154 weight limit. It's still the same meaningless title regardless of a whole 4 pounds diffrence seriously it a whole 4 ***ing pounds!
If 4 pounds isnt important then WHY THE HELL DOES PAC KEEP "changing the rules"?
If Pac won heavyweight there would be a 180 lbs catchweight.

Imagine if when Roy Jones fought John Ruiz he mad a catchweight for Ruiz to drop weight...ridiculous.
Forget so called *****s debating this A BOXING FAN SAYS THIS CATCHWEIGHT STUFF IS DUMB! and anyone who backs it.
Commisions are already watering down our sport with a million belts why is Pac creating 2 million?

Too high. Go easy on him, make it 171 1/2.

All of this while Arum and Pac cash in on history & the further growth of Pacquiao's image of having held titles in 8 divisions while doing the very same thing that all fight fans always talk **** on..."picking and choosing."

And no, Sugar Ray Leonard blowing up a bus full of children does not make it OK for any other boxer to do it as well.
um actually its NO DIFFERENT THAN Floyd and JMM at WW, agreeing to fight at 144. Margo has A CHOICE.................................he can still not make 150. thank Floyd for setting that precedence

Get off Pacs jock strap ..lol

If Pacquiao wants a 154 title he should fight using the division rules, if he doesn't think he can win then he shouldn't be moving up. Pacquiao supposed to be the best P4P fighter so he should act like it instead of stacking the deck in his favour.

Nothing solid will come out of this, i assure you. If anything, it will make people look at his other conquests and start wondering "what's going on here". 145 for a 147 tittle, 150 for a 154 tittle. Beating up old legends, drawing with Agapito Sanchez and getting beat by Morales and arguably Marquez, twice. Ducking harder competition and on top of that, as if it wasn't enough, he MAY be cheating through it all! That would absolutely KILL boxing.

No, flyweights do not always move up to welterweight but I do know 2 things: humans grow and every human body is different. Giovanni Segura will never out grow any of the lower weights, Pacquiao did.

Answer me this...can Pac still make featherweight? Junior Lightweight? Lightweight? Your argument is completely irrelevant because the man is a full blown welterweight in his prime right now that says he never intends on fighting below welter ever again.
Well considering he has to eat 6 large meals a day plus protain shakes and all kinds of other weight gain supplaments just to make 144 yeah I'm sure he could make 135 which is 3 full divisions lighter than the junuior middleweight division.

Seriously you guys act like im making this **** up they only showed him being force fed by Ariza like a ***ing child on the Cotto and Hatton 24/7's on HBO. While everyone else is starving themselves to make the 147 limit Pac has to eat to make it to a meager 144 pounds. Oh yeah he's a future middleweight smart guy!

                      Well said!
Why cant Pac abide by the rules like everyone else and for that matter Floyd too.
Taking a drug test to try and make sure the fighters are even IS NOT the same as trying to hurt your opponents by making them fight at a lower weight ESPECIALLY FOR A DAMN BELT!!!!
