Although on paper Cotto walks all over Vanes, it may not be that simple. Vanes has been waiting on the outside for a while now looking in, and could potentially fight the fight of his life given the opportunity. Guys like Martirosyan and Ortiz are dangerous opponents right now. One looking for an opportunity and the other looking for redemption after wasting one.

Totally agree. I have to read the actual statements in spanish and in context but I really hope that he's just saying that he wants to take is slow and adapt under Steward before going after the big guns once again. He's never ducked anybody before and I don't expect him to now.

lol. by about two rounds? Clottey could have won but he let the fight slip away. Either way Cotto couldnt see out of one eye and could have stopped the fight if he wanted to, easy, but didnt. Now you are comparing Clottey to Ouma?? I've liked Vanes but he is starting to disappoint. He has a chance with Cotto but you have no justification for going after Cotto fans. Vanes has shown nothing of substance so far and struggled way too much now that he has "stepped up" to higher (par) oposition.

Vanes does not bring nothing to the table. Even if he wins by KO Cotto will receive no credit and his bargain value will not be good for another great fight.

If he is thinking about the winner between Pacman and Margarito he will be a 2nd option as PBF will still be the 1st.

Berto or Angulo is his best move to get some of his value back and then demand Mega fights again.

Man i agree with you. What is Cotto thinking? The only best explanation I would think of for that is to take an easier fight to prepare for Pac II if a fall plan with Mayweather happens again. Though I rather see him go against Berto than this dude. He really isn't much IMO, Yuri is better than this guy in my eyes.
