how anyone defends this astounds me. its like me tryna defend floyd for not coming out and telling the world that arum is bull****ting. floyd allowed hs fans and boxing fans around the world to be bamboozled and manny is doing the same thing.

margarito has fought not one top ranked jmw at 154, pac has never fought at 154. yet they are fighting for a 154 title at 150, a title that rightfully belongs to a man that margs is ducking. this is an embarrassment to all we love and kno about the sport. and **** em all. who are they tryna fool? this fight should not be for a title no matter how u cut it and it will never be considered a fight that enhances pac's legacy.

That contradicts what Margarito said in the interview. He said he would have no problem making the weight at 147. You can't have it both ways. Claiming he can make 147 easy in one statement, then saying "he doesnt have time to melt down" in another.

that's a good point. but then margarito was just quoted as saying that with the right amount of time he could make 147 lbs with no complications.

My biggest issue is mainly that margs with the scandal shouldn't get such a fight and be given a crack at the vacant WBC title, there are more deserving fighters.
I completely agree and wholly condemn the alphabet org for doing so.

It all comes down to this, people who are against it-simply don't support the fight.
agreed. but that is a whole separate issue than people getting mad at the catchweight and blaming pac because the alphabet org sanctioned the fight.

Well, in my last fight I did struggle a bit to make 147. This fight is going to be at 154 and like I mentioned earlier Manny Pacquiao is the reigning champion at 147 so if we can get a fight with him I’d be willing to come back down to 147 and with enough time we’ll have no problems making weight.

                This.

Margarito's excuse for losing to Mosley was that he struggled to make 147.

How is NOV "not enough time?" That's over three months. I didn't misquote anything.

For a Pacquiao fight (pay day) he didn't say he was going to move back down for any other reason. He wants a big pay day so he will say anything that helps him get one.
