so far I haven't gotten an answer to my question. all I hear is that this fight shouldn't be a title fight which I agree with, but that doesn't answer my question. and then I get a post like this.

maybe you're asking the wrong question. folks pissed about fighting for a title at a catchweight...not fighting at a catchweight in itself. its a cheap way to try to win another belt nothing more.

It's not so much the catchweight that's the problem. Pacquiao and Margarito are fighting for a 154 pound belt at 150. If Pacquiao can't make 154, then don't fight for titles there. That's the problem.

Actually its not Pacquiao or Margarito's fault. The sanctioning body can say easily they will not award their vacant belt on this fight. We fans want to see a good fight. This is the best fight aside from Cotto fight after the coward gay Floyd hide his tail inside his ass.

I can understand people saying the fight shouldn't be at a catchweight because it's for a 154 pound title but saying it shouldn't be at 150 because it would drain Margarito doesn't hold much water IMO, especially when Margarito's handlers were saying he could make 147 without much difficulty.

The fighter has ample time to make weight. So no real excuses Marg to be weight drained, unless he overtaxed himself to come in heavy at fight night.

But yeah these catch weight demands are becoming ridiculous.

because roidMan cant pack the muscle that high(154), so he has to make the guy come in at 150 same as himself. Because it would be a level playing field. Basically the title should not be on the line for Pac. But due to politics it will be.

So it's "extra work" if a guy comes in lighter? Then JMM should have been glad his fight with Floyd was at WW so he didn't have to put in the "extra work" like normally to make 135.

Reports are that Margo cant make 147... 154 would be the absolute comfortable for him. Making him boil himself down to 150 is going to affect his performance. If Pac wants to come in at 149lbs for the title, fine. But let Margo come in at 154.

                      Its just fair.
