If it were my lie detector machine I wouldn't let either of them near it. It would probably overload from all the lies both would be telling.

f-ck oscar! When oscar made that statement that the fight was close to a done deal Schaefer approached him and asked him where in the world he heard that statement and Oscar said he was misquoted. So oscar saying that doesn't mean ****. When i try to decipher whose telling the truth and how close this fight was to EVER becoming a reality i like to use history and logic.

Its seems to me that this was just a smear campaign on Mayweather's name to help promote Manny's next fight with Margarito, without any backlash from boxing fans and the media. He tried to do this in January too. He tried to use Mayweather's reputation for hand-picking against him. When he walked away in January what was suppose to happen in his eyes was simple "He would have Pacquiao fight the next highest ranked WW on his roster, while mayweather can continue his trend of handpicking opponents. It backfired in the worse way possible. Because not only did mayweather fight the next best guy available at welterweight and dominate him, he made Pacquiao look like he could possibly be using PED's.

Its on record that Freddie Roach twice, refused to let his fighter anywhere near Shane Mosley in a ring, and since May 1st i doubt it strongly if he's that eager to face the man that beat him. To me it sounds like another feeble attempt to help sell Pacquiao's next fight with a guy that hasn't even shown the necessary remorse for what he "could've" done had he not got caught with loaded gloves. Let alone Margarito doesn't have a license in the US what did he do to deserve a fight of this magnitude beat Robert Garcia in Mexico on a ppv that did less than 150,000 buys.

Its time for Pacquiao to do the same thing we asked mayweather to do in his last fight, which is, give the fans a fight against somebody who actually has a legitimate chance of beating you. Its almost like there saying see we tried to fight Mayweather again and he didn't want to, so forgive me for fighting Margarito. Either way, Schaeffer agreeing with Ellerbee on this doesnt look good for Team Pacquiao, not that Schaeffer is a saint but i just see him to be a little more trustworthy and forthcoming than I do Arum or Ellerbee.

If this was really a smear campaign against mayweather, then mayweather has only himself to blame for it working like a charm.

For weeks Arum has been going on and on about the fight through the media. Of course reporters, writers, etc. tried to get team mayweather's side throughout the whole thing.

But here's the most interesting part. Team mayweather kept utter silence throughout the process. Floyd jr who was always so accessible was not reachable for comment.

If Arum was lying through his teeth and dragging your name in the process, PRACTICALLY EVERY DAY, wouldn't you come out and call him out for his lies?

Why wait for the deadline to pass?

Nonetheless, i'm not really mad at floyd or his team. I'm just waiting out all this drama and hope that the fight would eventually push through.

I believe Schaefer just for the simple fact that you have the article Floyd on June 23rd on examiner.com with Floyd team saying no negotiations going on:

            http://www.examiner.com/x-21442-Figh...-Pacquiao-pg-3

And also how could they negotiate for a fight when Floyd said he`s not thinking about boxing right now?Use common sense ya`ll.

There were also public statements on May 10th and June 7th where Ellerbe told the media that no negotiations were taking place.

Ellerbe told the media that at least three times.

The problem is that y'all just didn't believe that was possible because you kept hearing bull**** from Team Peasant.

Mayweather is already the "bad guy" in boxing. His haters have already convinved nthemselves that he is scared of Pacquiao, and it's his fault that the fight hasn't been made yet. You don't think that Mayweather is aware of this himself? He obviously doesn't mind being the "bad guy". It was obvious to me from the beginning that this was nothing but a smoke screen by Arum. Mayweather never expressed any desire to fight anyone else this year after he fought Mosley. The public convinved themselves that this fight was going to be made this year and, and all Arum did was take advantage of that. Arum knew that Pacquiao's opponent for November would be either Margarito or Cotto, but he knew he couldn't sell either one of those fights to the public without making it look like he tried to make the Mayweather fight. Hence the smoke screen. Don't blame Mayweather for not coming out and acknowledging Arum's bull****, blame yourself for falling for Arum's bull****.

Because he doesn't beat to Arum's drum like a lot of pacquiao's die hard fans do. You can also say on the contrary why are we even surprised a few weeks ago Mayweather was one of his charity basketball events and stated that he was taking a year or 2 off from the sport. Arum himself said that he never talked to anybody in Mayweather's camp. He said through Richard Schaeffer and Ross Greenburg was his line of communication to the Mayweather camp. The negotiations are over, so why dont they just show us this alleged contract that they expected team mayweather to sign. Im not saying there wasn't any negotiations taking place but when one of the people you say you were negotiating with is denying it altogether it's gonna raise eyebrows. To bolster his claim Arum should let us know what he expected Mayweather to sign and what Manny had already agreed too.

And if this was a smear campaign it didn't work like a charm because we still dont know what was proposed in this contract if there ever was one.

I couldnt of said it better myself. Its like they never heard Mayweather when he said he wanted to take another year or 2 off from boxing, it like they didnt' hear Ellerbee when he was asked about the negotiations and said they must be negotiating with themselves.
