No negotiations - which means they did not do their part and want no part of it. They did not pursue the fight or make an attempt to negotiate what they want. Why? Don't tell me they did read the news Arum waiting for them to make the next move. Don't tell me Floyd did heard ESPN branding him as a coward? Why so quite all this time? then when he finally talk, all he has to say his mind is not in boxing anymore. On this Floyd statement and his team statement who obviously did not make an attempt to negotiate, you sum it up then will know the result. At least Arum as scumbug as he is made an attempt and wait for them to come forward but they did not.
Bob Arum is playin with your twinkie

It is becoming clear that Arum almost certainly fuzzed up an offer that not only did not go through the right channels, but did not even dignify a response..... simply because he wants a Top Rank benefit double-header match-up between Manny/Margo, then he wants another Top Rank benefit double-header match-up between Manny/Cotto..... before he feeds Manny to Mayweather.

Don't take sweeties from Bob Arum, and do not follow him into the bushes

Manny's interests are NOT Bob Arum's #1 priority.

Top Rank's interests are Arum's #1 priority, as he has proven time-and-time again.

Read the comments from Kevin Mayo in the post below.....

    ===========================================

We still have no official word on the next Manny Pacquiao fight. The window of exclusivity for negotiating with Floyd Mayweather went bye-bye last Friday and now Top Rank has moved on to other potential opponents. It's clear Team Mayweather doesn't want to fight this year, but now some media members are saying the same thing about Top Rank's Bob Arum, and that he never wanted the fight this year either. David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press says Arum never negotiated in good faith:

Arum relayed through HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg the terms he would find acceptable for making the fight. You can bet they were favorable terms for Pacquiao, which is to say terms Mayweather very well might find onerous. They probably included a 50-50 split in money, or something close to it. Arum steadfastly refused to specify that. Second, Greenburg relayed those terms to the Mayweather camp, which never responded to them. Arum might as well have called me to relay the terms. I have all the same phone numbers and could’ve had the same conversations -- or lack thereof.

Mayo says that's not a negotiation as Arum calling it:

My 30-year-old Webster’s New World Dictionary -- the one that one of my dogs tore the cover off of years ago -- defines negotiate as “to confer, bargain, or discuss with a view to reaching a settlement.” Arum got a lot of mileage with the media in saying Manny Pacquiao had agreed to terms. Sending a message through an intermediary who isn’t empowered to respond or counteroffer doesn’t qualify. And that Greenburg converses often with the Mayweather camp means absolutely nothing.

He says Arum's always wanted a Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito or Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto fight:

Failing that, what Arum planned all along was to have two of his own fighters face each other on Nov. 13 -- Pacquiao against either Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito -- which seems the near-certain resolution now. That keeps all the money in house, gets another probable win for Pacquiao, and keeps him from being exposed to Mayweather for a few more months, if at all.

Mayo said Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe predicted this is exactly what would go down back at the start of the year.

Even if Arum and GBP & Mayweather representatives have reached an agreement to pursue the fight, Mayweather Jr. won't ever fight Pacquiao. He has said it clearly. He wants to rest for two years and come back after Pacquiao retires.

What part of "smoke screen" do you not understand? Those reports of Pacquiao agreeing to terms were complete BS. The whole things was a PR stunt by Arum used to take advantage of people like you.

And if Schaefer is telling the truth, shame on him for not calling Arum's BS when he was doing his Countdown crap.
Yeah, you always find a way to blame the Mayweather side. Fact is, if Schaefer is will to take a freakin lie detector test, he must be telling the truth. Its not up to him or anyone else to inform anyone about anything. Its up to Pac to have the right guys working for him, his guys are running his name into the ground. Shame on old Pac man, shame on him.

              Arum lied

That's why he wouldn't go into contract details at the Mayweather "deadline". It's a shame he didn't actually make an effort to get the fight done. Going through Ross Greenburg? Seriously? Get out of here. Your a promoter. Make the damn fight and get Pacman paid. I'm sure Mayweather will be available in May so make this fight or stop yanking peoples chains about it. And hurry the **** up already damnit. If it's not in May shove it up your ass and stop speaking Mayweather's name Arum. If it doesn't happen in May you will be the reason. I bet you don't want Pac to get slaughtered so you are milking him a bit more with your other tainted fighter. Only makes sense if you fight Mayweather in May tho. Otherwise you just look like a lying old fool who isn't pulling the wool over anyones eyes.
