You hit the nail right on the head bro. If you think about it Berto is the only fight out there for Cotto that both makes sense both boxing/development wise and money wise. Angulo would be a battle and it might be a much more entertaining fight but the money is just not there right now and Cotto is at a higher level business-wise in the sense that he's not just going to fight some nobody for relatively little money - unfortunate but that's just the truth. If HBO is willing to pluck down, which I believe they should since there are no other big fights on the fall schedule, then this is the way to go. It would be a solid win against an undefeated champion. Berto, with all his athletic prowess, is vulnerable enough for Cotto to dismantle if he just follows his game plan.i think if Cotto is serious about getting revenge vs pacquiaoafter he destroys rito...this is the fight he needs...he can outbox berto easily but can he take some power and speed again...bertos nice but hes sloppy..sloppy enough for Cotto to take advantage of..im curious to see this one...
PD: If the fight goes down, I do expect some roughousing. Cotto get's frustrated with guys that hug and I wouldn't be surprised to see him pick up and throw him down Urkal style. Actually, that might be Berto's best chance to win: frustrate Cotto and get inside his head.Comment

Props for putting it down but I just don't see it. Cotto has enough technical ability and power to force Berto to just hold, hold, and hold. In the end I wouldn't be surprised to see Cotto win a UD with Berto unable to do anything at all in the second half of the fight and just holding on in a boring fight. He'll exchange for the first half and once he feels Cotto's power it will all be hug, hug, hug until the end. Angulo is the better fight; Berto is the most lucrative in both dollars and legacy for Cotto. Bring it on!!!i think that berto is too explosive for cotto. has good head movement, strong and fast.
the moment he taps cotto with somthing he will be all up in cottos guard.
the moment he puts that pressure on cotto, cotto gets on his bike. i think berto will cotto and make him fight in closer quarters than he'd like making cotto uncomfortableComment

He beat him 12 rounds to 0 lol. 120-108 on all cards.I think Cotto enjoys fighting guys like Berto.
Berto looked very uncomfortable against a slow podding Urango.
I know a southpaw right?
Wasn't Quintana a southpaw?
So only slow plodding southpaws give him trouble?
I'll give Berto all the credit in the world if he beats Cotto.
He had to adjust to Urango's headbutting style. Cotto doesn't headbutt or even hold. His defense is ****.
Berto will merk Cotto if this fight happens.
Collazo, Quintana, Urango, three southpaws in a row. We all know southpaws can give anyone hell. Just ask Cotto who got his face busted up by two of them Judah and Pacquiao.
This will be a relief for Berto to fight an orthodox fighter.
There are fighters who are pretty much kept away from southpaws, Berto fought 3 in a row and was willing to fight Pacquiao on November which would have made it 4 in a row but that's irrelevant since Pac is fighting Margarito.
Anyway, I have Berto winning this fight.Comment
