Is it fair for a 6'3 tall man to fight a 5'6 man because they're the same weight?

    5 8 - 5 9 Max... No way he's 5 10... I seen boxrec has it.. no way.

Either way... did Wiliams height advantage make a difference?

    Hell no.

Williams doesnt even use his damn height... he hunches over half the time and will fight you on the inside if you want.

Cotto weighs around 160 his damn self, and even moreso now fighting at 154.

The point is... Cotto is 5 7.. Wiliams is 6 2... thats a 7 inch height advantage.. and on fight night they are a couple lbs apart.

      Williams is skin and bones.

Yeps, Williams doesn't utilize his reach or height. His best asset has always been his high output and effective aggressiveness.

If (really a matter of when if the fight was actually signed) Manny chopped Williams down brutally, people would use Williams height against Manny and say that Williams was drained. Guaranteed.

Just cuz' Williams can squeeze down to WW for a few hours. Doesn't mean he's a WW.

              Does that make sense?

But, all that is irrelevant cuz we have weight-classes not height-classes.
Actually Hearns is taller than 6-1 too. All I can say is fighters like Duran and Whitaker never avoided fighters that had huge height and reach advantages. Anybody using that as an excuse is pathetic. I know you aren't and see through this as well

If they both think its fair, why not. James Toney claimed he wanted to fight Vitaly, that would have been 5'9" vs 6'7". As long as they can both make weight Paq vs Pwill might as well happen.
