That is why these people shouldn't be called great.
No. The logic applied is ridiculous. Floyd is great because he has tremendous skills, the same skills Bob arum said were better than ali's or leonard's when Bob promoted floyd. Floyd is great because he beats HOF fighters like Mosley, Genaro hernandez, castillo, with the same ease he beats great fighters, good fighters, and bad fighters. They are all great for different reasons.

Floyd is great because, even though he acts like a dumb a$$ ni99a on tv, he doesnt drink or smoke and keeps his body in tremendous shape all the time. he's great because he is a 2nd generation fighter from one of the premier fightinng families in US history.

You have to defy the odds to be called Great. Fighting the best enhances legacy. The more you prove yourself to the world the more people can't dispute your accomplishments. The reason Floyd can't be called great is coz there are still a lot of bashers there who think he hasn't proven himself like the greats I listed that even if they have losses still proved to the world they have fought there heart out and showed there skill and talent to the world.

No, it's not, it sure helps, but all the greatest fighters in history have lost at some point. Depends a lot on who you fought.

0 losses AND 50 wins yeah. But we need to consider two things:

          • Quality of opponents
          • Assessments of how he performed based on those "great opponents"

Then the 0 losses would be a big resounding UNDEFEATED scream.

Spoon what is a better measure of floyd's greatness?

The 300-400 pac fans on this site that call him ducker, gay, scared and purposely downgrade his competiton to make their argument? Or The fact floyd Mayweather consustently draws the most fans to watch his fights?

Just one more question: why do the same "experts" who criticize floyd's greatness for the reasons you state (fair points by the way) yet always pick him whether he is fighting a HOF, great fighter, good fighter or bum?

Shoot, Michael Jordan himself lost hundreds of times and was cut from his high school basketball team.
Absolutely not. Is Chavez Jr. a great fighter? Was Valuev a great fighter before he lost his O. Was Calzhage a great fighter? For that matter, is Shawn Porter a great fighter?

Does having 0 loses make a great fighter? No.

More often then not, it does take a great fighter to have a long career with 0 loses and face serious opposition the whole time.

                but I digress, you're a *******.

But rocky marciano is judged by many people to be better than he is because he is undefeated so it has to mean something.

It's called fighting the best to be the best.. and so far he hasn't fought a lot of the best to be called great. That is all I can say. I don't see why you can't get any logic from there. This is not about pac or pac's fans. It's his legacy.

                      Muhammad Ali had 5 losses.

Sugar Ray Robinson had 19 losses.

                      Henry Armstrong had 21 losses.

They have losses but they fought with there warrior mentality.. Proving themselves to every boxing fan why they were great. It's all about fighting the best and beating the best in there generation. In this case pac is that guy he should fight vice versa. Enhancing legacy is what a boxer should strive for. As we professionals also try to enhance are legacy to are chosen field.
