First all, the thread was asking personally opinions, not how the CSAC dealt with this problem. Apparently I need to be a member of the CSAC to have an opinion on a boxing fansite according to you.

Taking steroids to get a competitive edge is not the same as wearing plaster bricks in your handwraps. Yeah, Mosley is an admitted cheat, but what Margarito did was not only cheating, it was attempted assault with two deadly weapons. He should be in jail. People get arrested for conspiracy to assault, murder, ****, you name it. Margarito got off easy.

Like the fact that inserts in his gloves were nowhere near the bricks you mentioned and those inserts he had are usually used in sparring to protect the fighters hands on a routine basis.

No inserts whatsoever are allowed, end of story, done deal, so even saying they are used to protect your hands isn't an excuse, and also, they did find that the substance hardened.

He my of assaulted someone if the Pads were indeed intended to be used as a weapon. Like I said before several fighters and trainiers including mosely himself have said the inserts were most likely there to protect his hands. And even if that was the case they were still illegal and he still deserves to be suspended.
