Sure all that is valid but what I'm referring to is people who watch boxing. Why does he have to apologize to them? The commission is one thing but the fans? What exactly did Tony do to them?

No, not all. I also think that He does not favor one boxer over another. I have always found that praying, other than for the safety of a boxer and his opponent, to be a bit presumptuous and arrogant.

I'm Agnostic so i think praying is a silly thing in itself but Im fine with hoping the boxers are safe even though I think most of the posters on this message board are more concerned with being entertained rather than being concerned over a fighters safety.

Well, partly because his living is provided by the very people who follow boxing. Corrupting it sours the morale of the people watching it as well as placing its participants in danger...possibly mortal danger.

But I am not among those who wants him to apologize to us. I expect him to apologize to the fighters he cheated against. That is when I will stop demonizing him.

This is entirely too reasonable an expression of opinion for this forum.

See I never understood the whole Athletes owe the fans something. It was always ****** to me because I have never wanted anything from athletes other then just being able to watch them perform. fans just take themselves way to seriously.

Well you do know that research has shown that praying is a form of meditation and positive thinking and positive thinking can make a difference in a person's motivation and results.

Mind over matter you know.....

I think true boxing fans do care about a fighters safety, I just think we will never know if Marg every used illegal wraps or plaster or whatever until he admits it.

He would never admit it even if he did it because it wouldn't benefit him, it's kind of like when you give in and tell a cop the truth because he tells you it's the best thing and you still get in trouble.

Yeah and sometimes innocent people are found guilty so maybe he's telling the truth. If he indeed is telling the truth you don't expect him to lie just to make you the fan feel better now do you?

I say let him serve out his punishment and when it's done thats it. He's even with the house and thats that. People again need to stop taking themselves so seriously.

Why? Seriously do they tell convicted burglers "ok you served your sentence but before we release you we want you to admit to all the other crimes you committed in your life even though there is no proof you actually did them so that way we can feel better about ourselves"?
