I like how Arum has officially cashed Pavlik in by making this fight. One last big money fight before he becomes a gate keeper - that's his plan anyway.
I myself take Pavlik by UD.Comment

According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, it's very possible that Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32 KOs)and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30KOs) will collide on December 4 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas. Last week, a report ran on BoxingScene.com that Pavlik was seriously considering the possibility of remaining in the middleweight division. The Youngstown native had previously announced his desire to move up in weight to 168-pounds. After thinking it over, Pavlik came to a decision and informed Top Rank that he would hire a nutritionist and remain at 160-pounds. [Click Here To Read More]Comment

I don't know what to read into this.
If JCC loses and gets KO'd, does it hurt his career?
If Pavlik loses, that's two in a row, and three major fights in a row. Is his future as a marketable fighter effectively over at that point?
Very surprised that Arum is making this fight. Something tells me that they (TRP) are done with Kelly and just getting out of him what they can.Comment

If Pavlik wins, He's back in contention for a title shot and if Chavez wins then he is close to a title shot and finally has a big name on his resume. It's a win-win situation for Arum, No matter what happens.Comment

That's the key, Now that Pavlik has lost his belts and marketability with it. Bob Arum just looks at him as an object, So now that Pavlik is declining, Bob Arum wants to try and give Chavez another name on his resume. It can look like a "lose-lose" situation but for Bob Arum it's win-win because he doesnt care about either guy, He just wants to keep all the money in house and make as much money as possible by putting his guy's in their with each other.
