      think about it if you invest 100k and another investor invest 50k when the profits come in who should get more???
      Why do you care so much that Floyd makes more. 50 Million each in a 50/50 split with pac is better then a 70/30 split with someone else making 25 million. He made 22.5 with Mosley taking 75%. Take the 50/50 split and make more then what he made last fight. Look at each fighters last fights anyways. Pac Vs Cotto = 1.2 Million and Pac Vs Clottey = 700K. May Vs. Mosley 1.4 Million and May Vs Marquez was really something like 500K. Dont let goldenboy fool you lol. End of the day who cares what they make your not making and of it. Does it make you mad that Pacquiao might take half of your $59.95?

        what the **** does race have to do with sales.. smh.. Hmm let me recall the last Mexican fighters that let me down,

        Margarito = Plaster in gloves
        Delaquitter = Fighting little fighters and quit
        Marquez = Lost every round against Floyd
        Arreola = HBO Hype
        Vic Ortiz = Let me down against Maidana

        I can go on with this list. So please, dont tell me Mexican fighters are the only fighters worth watching.. SMH

          Pay-per-view discussion numbers get you nowhere, it's a pointless discussion. I could make arguments either way for why one fighter deserves the 60-40 split over the other. Comparing recent PPV fights is also pointless because we're talking apples to oranges when we compare a fight like Pacquiao-Clottey (an uncompetitive match-up on paper against a notoriously unentertaining and relatively unheralded fighter) to Mayweather-Mosley (a big step up for the undefeated Floyd against the always entertaining, likable and well-known Mosley). If you don't agree with me, just try imagining how different the PPV numbers for these fights might have been had it been Mayweather-Clottey or Pacquiao-Mosley. My gut tells me they'd probably be pretty similar (and maybe lower for both fights).

          When we're talking about Floyd and Manny fighting, we are not talking about the individual fighters themselves drawing a crowd; we are talking about the match-up itself selling tickets. Every boxing fan is going to be watching this fight. Does it really matter who has the biggest drawing power when every boxing fan in the world is going to be paying attention to the fight? I don't think it does, and I don't think past PPV buys will speak at all to the selling ability of this fight. 50/50 is a fair split in my mind.

          Let's hope this fight goes through, if not by November then at least for May.

                They should agree to a 45-45 split with the winner taking the final 10%. They both think they deserve it, so the one who proves they deserve it can take it.

                  The only thing I've learned from these contract negotiations is Bob Arum is by far the best promoter in the business in terms of getting what he wants. He and Don King are probably the worst things that happened to the sport, but Bob Arum is much smarter than King and almost always gets his way.

Based on what? He's a HALL OF FAMER but ALL-TIME GREAT is a little far fetched in my opinion. I mean, you have to take risks to be great. MAYWEATHER has done everything except that so I don't mention him with the LEONARDS, ALIS, DURANS, HAGLERS, HEARNS, HOLYFIELDS, CHAVEZS.......you guys get where I'm going. This guy is scared to death of losing! I can't think of any other reason he would duck an era full of quality opposition. It's not like when TYSON was heavyweight champ or HOLMES for 8yrs. and didn't have anyone to dance with. There are plenty of fighters that would make him an ALL-TIME GREAT if he'd be willing to take the risk. WILLIAMS, BERTO, COTTO, MARTINEZ at 154, PACQUIAO of course, CLOTTEY, MARGACHEETO, BUT HE NEVER WILL. Sorry L.F. GOOD read other than that.

                    P.S. If anyone is an ALL-TIME great It's MANNY PACQUIAO. The fact that he'll fight anybody, the amount of blood, sweat, and tears he's shed in his career, His learning curve over the last 4years, and his resume'. This guy doesn't have to fight anymore, yet he still insists on matching his PRIDE and SKILLS and competitve nature against the biggest and baddest fighter he can find. That's how you become great. He fights for respect, pride, competition, and LEGACY before he even thinks about how much money he's going to make on a fight. PAUL WILLIAMS, ANDRE BERTO, TIMOTHY BRADLEY, MIGUEL COTTO, SERGIO MARTINEZ, ANDRE WARD, are a few more who'll fight anybody, any time, any place.

                    he fights the biggerst baddest? fight paul williams whom is knockin on his door as we type? but nah instead he wants the biggest challenge he can get from a shot fighter whom he already beat in cotto...

                      Pac wouldn't get out of bed for less than $20 million at this point. Doesn't fight for money my ass. Oh, and Arum definitely doesn't want Pac to lose. This is a huge money train for him. If Pac loses to Mayweather, Pac's claim to be one of the great modern era fighters is significantly diminished. Boxing fans throw fighters to the curb pretty quick when they lose. And a fighter like Pac, like all huge fighters, have a huge bandwagon following that's ready to jump to the next name. Arum will milk Pac against as many opponents as he can before he'll really want to risk a big loss.

                      I'd like to add that's how every promoter operates in this sport. Milk a fighter as much as you can before you move on.
