donaire already stated will only do one fight at 118 unless another fight presents itself before moving upto 122. i don't know how people can say someone will not be able to carry their power with 3lb difference? is he losing power from adding 3 lbs on his fist....extra padding? i know i've read it best. you lose your legs before you lose your power. some people talk out their ass before their mouths....in this case fingers.

it has nothing to do with that...when u move up, u face bigger fighters who are more capable of taking ur punches. so really, who is talking out their asses?? nonito knocks out a bunch of smaller guys. at 118 or 122 the guys are bigger, proly just as big as him. it wont be as easy to knock many of them out.

          knock that noise off.

He wasn't toying with anyone. When opponents don't come rushing in at him, it takes Nonito a helluva lot longer to figure them out. Nonito has had sub par opponents ever since Darchinyan. He isn't walking through **** at 118. Every fight for him at 118, all the top dogs, will give him a very hard fight.

He fights smaller dudes with waaaaaaaaaaay less skill. So he not only out classes them, none of them hurt him. What happens when he fights a big 118 fighter like Perez? What about a hunter like Mares? Could he handle the skill, speed, evasiveness and deceptive power of Hasegawa? What about the destructive power of Cochulito?

Don't speak non-sense man. Walk through 118 division? That makes me laugh.

FWIW I actually think Yohnny Perez crushes Montiel. I don't think Montiel can crack Perez' chin and I see Yohnny being too big, too strong and walking him down with his high work rate. I think the real fights for Nonito at 118 are Mares, Perez, and Moreno. I'm pretty convienced that Donaire UD Montiel but those 3 I mentioned above are toss up fights IMO.
Johnson and Gonzales were all guys that boxed Montiel, instead of going right at him. Donaire is also a boxer.

I think that Montiel vs. Donaire would be a tossup but to say that Montiel would dominate easily is just ridiculous. Montiel also came from those lower divisions and I think Donaire is actually bigger.

Donaire's a good fighter, but since he hasn't fought anyone of note since Darchinyan, I'm not exactly sure how good he is. He definitely has skills and will still be pretty big even at bantamweight.

118 is rich with talent. He'll get tested there, provided he fights the best.

The level of competition hes fought since Darchinyan has been below par. To be honest theres no chance hes walking through Montiel, Hasegawa, Mares and Perez at 118. Agbeko gives him fits aswell! Then theres 122! Poonsawat and Nishioka put him to sleep aswell!

At least he's getting fights. Shaw wants him to fight once every two years.
