Nonito Donaire how will he fair at 118

His boxing looked very crisp last night, but i do not think he can beat Montiel,he leaves opening that will end up getting him koed.

There is always a room for improvement......
He needs to train with Freddie Roach and fights more better quality fighters.

he beats montiel and everyone else in the division....last night he was toying with marquez dont base his skill on that one fight even though he got the knockout, it was experimental in his words. he cleans out 118 and in my opinion he could go up to 125 and fare well there, his walking around weight is between 130-140...he wont be cutting so much weight to get to 115 anymore. hes gonna look his best at 122 i believe.

I tend to agree with you. He has fought there in the past and won but I don't think he fought the elite guys there. I think he will have more power and should do pretty well- he needs to forget that southpaw stuff and box orthodox. His power hand is the left and it works well having your strong hand as your lead hand especially since you jab more than anything else. DLH fought like this and Cotto's left is his strongest hand as well. His defense suffered a bunch when he was fighting as a southpaw. Should be entertaining to see what happens and even though he is one of my favorite boxers, I think he is picking on smaller guys as others have criticized him for- kind of like Williams fighting at 147 but to each his own

I disagree i think Montiel stops him early ,i think he can beat Vic again and possibly Hasegawa, but i i truly think Montiel is a great fighter who will own that division for quite some time.

Donaire is a special talent. He could become a really great fighter but he needs to leave Bob Arum and Top Rank. He will never get the big fights and big payday's that he wants whilst working for that greedy old man.

donaire aint going do **** at any higher weight class higher then 118. its easy to pound on midget fighter when you have all the physical advantages and skill. i said it once and i will say it again once he faces someone his own size and skillset he will get beat to a pulp.

a lot of people have been questioning donaire & his place in the p4p rankings. last night showed why he belongs. he is a real talent. a fighter that you can rightfully call slick with some pop. very athletic. he would be a problem for anybody at 118. There is a reason why he could not secure a fight with the japanese & thai champions at 112 & 115. You could say they ducked donaire who is just a monster at 115 & 112.
