Vitali puts him to sleep. Briggs will gas out in two rounds like always and then it will be target practice.

The only possible way I see Briggs winning is if he opens up cuts on Vitali's face. But honestly, he just won't be active enough.

Even if Vitali did sustain a severe cut, I doubt they'd stop it. It's being held in Germany and Klitschko is the hometown favorite, so if he says he can 'fight on' the ref/doctor will let it go...

Shannon Briggs has been fighting fatigue since he was an amateur, so I don't see him winning. I guess he may have a punchers chance if he can avoid the Vitali jab.

I trust Shannon Briggs as a dangerous fighter. He earn't my respect in the Lewis fight, when he gave the watching world a textbook example of how to fight a superior champion. He was all heart and always dangerous until he was ultimately taken out.

Of course, he has been under-par in big fights since then but he has never been such an underdog...until now.

Vitali gets him out of there like Lewis did after having to ride a storm out.
Good post. That's what I expect will happen.

It would be great to see a Ko, but Vitali is getting old and most likely Briggs will quit just like Peter did. I think Vitali will try not to run out of stamina and be able to compete all 12 rounds. In my opinion, fight ends by TKO 7th, Briggs quits
