Horrible fight, but the HW division isn't very deep right now.

Any person with a logical mind has to pick Vitali there is no way Briggs beats him not even in his prime.

In Birggs's prime I can image the fight going something like the Corrie Sanders fight, Briggs having some success with his fast powerful punches, maybe even wobbling Vit, gassing and getting knocked out or stopped in the middle rounds.

Vitali KO's Briggs. He has **** stamina and limited boxing skills. Even at his age Vitali won't be KO'd by Briggs, which would be Briggs' only chance to win.

Briggs is still, in my eyes, the most dangerous one-round fighter in the heavies. He always comes out at the bell aggressively, and his massive power could definitely lay the hurt on any fighter, including Vitali. Course, after that he's nothing more than a giant blond punching bag. But still...

11 years ago most people had a 49 year old Foreman beating Briggs.

Just shows how poor the division is really.

No it doesn't. If the current top ten looked something like this:

              1. Evander Holyfield
              2. Shannon Briggs
              3. Hasim Rahman
              4. James Toney
              5. John Ruiz
              6. Andrew Golota
              7. David Tua
              8. Michael Grant
              9. Ray Mercer
              10. John L Sullivan's corpse

...then you might have a point

                  It's not the best.

Better fights would be Valuev-Vitali or Haye-Vitali.

But Valuev promoters King and Sauerland are demanding too much money, and David Haye is yellow.

It's not THAT bad of a matchup. Briggs has world-class power so he'll always have a punchers' chance.

The best option would obviously be Haye. But we all know what happened there. I'm OK with a Briggs fight. You have to fight whoever is available, and willing. I won't blame Vitali because the guy that's been talking **** about beating him, is actually afraid of him.
