It's good that some people believe Briggs will KO Vitali. It makes it a more interesting matchup.

Yeah, because we all know how bad Briggs KO'd Ibragimov. He's gonna knock out Vitali who hasn't even been seriously hurt in a fight much less on the canvas. If you don't cut Vitali to pieces, you're not TKO'ing him.

I would take Vitali over any active heavyweight today, including his brother. So yes, Vitali wins.

This may be Vitali's last fight.

Too bad Haye won't man up and fight him, but Briggs is probably the best available option.

Do you think this might be his last fight? I remember last year Vitali stating that he wanted to retire after 2010 but so far this year he's kind of backed away from those comments. I think Vitali wants to fight on; he's winning all his fights in convincing fashion and making a boat load of $$$ doing so.

Having said that, I don't like this fight. Who wants to see Briggs show up to the fight out of shape (just there for the payday) and get blown out in less than 4 or 5 rounds? Vitali should indicate to Briggs that he'll fight him this fall or winter if he beats a credible opponent otherwise he should try to make a fight with Valuev, Boystov, Helenius or Adamek....

I agree it would be better if Briggs first defeated a credible opponent before recieving a title shot. Manuel Quezada would have been a perfect matchup (easy to hit) but he's fighting Arreola.

But still, for reasons outlines in my opening post, he may be Vitali's best choice right now.
