By your logic, Rocky Marciano was the greatest HW that ever lived. He would have beat Ali, Tyson, and Foreman any day. Give me a break. Calz could never beat Jones in his prime. Too much speed, power, and smarts Roy possessed.

          He did..meth-head.

Echols won the eliminator but Joe fought the guy Echols KO'd.

Only a loser backs a guy like Slappy Joe.

yes he did. he also ducked glen johnson numberous times. even if he fought those guys he probably would have cheated to win so maybe it's best he didn't fight them.

Roy Jones never fought the best in any weight class he fought in. Joe Calzaghe called him out for years and years and when Roy Jones called Calzaghe out he got the ass-whooping when he wanted it.

Joe Calzaghe beat the best America had to offer 10 yanks fought for Calzaghe’s title, 10 came up short.

Joe Calzaghe beat Bhop and Jones, prime or not they lost. Go to boxrec, go to youtube and see for yourself they lost.

Joe Calzaghe is the best of this era.

A career is judged when it is over, not when a guy is in his prime
I guess you have to re-assure yourself of what you believe. A career is not judged when its over simply by the names that are beaten. Not fighting fighters in their primes has everything to do with it

Spin it any way you want.

Fact is, Calzaghe held on to a title at a weight class he should've left years ago to challenge himself against better competition. He was in no urgency to vacate the WBO - which provided him with mandatory mismatches for years.

He was quite comfortable milking that belt on home turf with Frank Warren by his side.

And it doesn't help that his style is like a ***** fighting his way out of spider webs either. I dislike him for that the most.
