Roy Jones never fought the best in any weight class he fought in. Joe Calzaghe called him out for years and years and when Roy Jones called Calzaghe out he got the ass-whooping when he wanted it.
What? Who was the best SMW in 1994 besides James Toney? WHO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liles? Nunn? Little? GTFOH, Toney was the best at that weight-class undefeated and at the time easily top 3 P4P. And, not only did Roy fight him but dominated him.

Who was the best LHW besides Roy at the time he fought Antonio Tarver in 2003? WHO? Don't you dare say Dariusz M... At the time Roy fought Tarver Dariusz M had a lost to Julio Gonzalez(Roy Jones victim)... Tarver was the best LHW when Roy went back down and Roy won that fight.

Joe Calzaghe beat Bhop and Jones, prime or not they lost. Go to boxrec, go to youtube and see for yourself they lost.
Now your post is starting to make sense.

Ahh... The Floyd Mayweather argument eh? That is the sign of desperation.

Really? So you judge Ali for the Berbick fight? You don't judge him for what he did in his prime? WTF kind of nonsense is that man?

Hopkins was fighting real fighters in 02.

        What was Joe doing??

Slappy was stuck between a rock (MW division) and a hard place (LHW division) so he *****ed in and refused to challenge himself.

these calzaghe guys keep setting themselves up it's almost too easy

"He wouldn't get on a plane. He said he had a fear of flying. Yet I can remember after one fight he flew to the West Indies for a holiday!

He's been shot at close range and threatened by Mike Tyson, but promoter Frank Warren is still in the mood for a fight

Woody Allen would invariably raise a titter by saying it was not the actual flying he was afraid of, it was the crashing. Until recently that joke would barely have raised a wan smile from Joe Calzaghe whose long-delayed US debut is partially a result of his deep-rooted fear of flying.

                  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/oth...o-America.html

Calzaghe’s shyness is what has held him back; that and his fear of flying, which is one of the reasons for his reluctance to test himself in the US.

Calzaghe gets zero respect from me.

Nobody knew who Calzaghe was back then. Calzaghe should have went to the US and try to make a name for himself. But he was too much of a p*ssy to do that. Even his promoter Frank Warren has said that he actually had to almost force Calzaghe to fight Lacy. His promoter was more confident about Calzaghe beating Lacy than Calzaghe himself.

Prime Roy and prime Hopkins both kill him. Even a past prime Hopkins beat him.

The guy p*ssied out of a Glen Johnson fight 3 times.

He is a disgrace. I wish he was never born.
