What in your opinion so Burner beats Floyd?

Simple.

Make Floyd chase you. When he fights Lefties he walks people down because most dont notice but he cuts the ring off with ease. He did it to Shane when Shane tried to run.

BUT...

Shane doesnt have any legs. Pac can move on his legs all fight. Pac needs to move from sided to side and in and out when Floyd walks forward. Floyd will have his hands up in peek a boo style and some, not all but some of his vision will be blocked. So If Pac is just standing there trying to be King Kong he gets picked apart. If he's moving however when Floyd goes high guard he can win the fight. He can throw punches without Floyd being able to see them.

This is the only type of fight where trying to out move Floyd so to speak can work because vs. lefties Floyd is the pressure fighter. And his hands are up because he cant use the shoulder roll vs. Southpaws.

I forget the round but Naz even said it. He was like "Shane you head hunting, stop head hunting that punch will come, stop looking for it"

He saw he hurt Floyd and blindly fell in love with the right hand. NOT realizing the very subtle adjustments that Floyd made which took away his right hand.

Nothing Naseem could have said would have changed his mind the worse thing in boxing is when a fighter tries to force a ko it will never come.Shane was in the mentality that if he landed the right again no matter what Floyd did it was over

pacquiao better have more than one plan though.

pressure will be the best way initially but floyd will adapt (or if it doesn't work) , roach better have a plan b.


i say turn on the gas early , put pressure on , get a few rounds in the bank.

if he can get a small lead on points on floyd , he can switch it up to his recent boxer/puncher style when floyd gets more offensive.

i doubt he can catch floyd with anything flush while floyd is on the defensive.

if he can get floyd to be more offensive , it's possible he might be able to catch floyd with something flush.

The smartest guy in the whole building is Floyd. It will show.

i say 60-40 in favor of floyd.

So on mine, I have Pacquiao as the slight favorite (55/45). I can't really argue with those who have PBF as the slight favorite since history suggests that boxers have the edge over punchers.

However if I could put a 0% on floyd by tko/ko I probably would, but since this is boxing (anything can happen) I'll just leave it at 1. Judging by both of the fighters last few fights, I just can't imagine PBF stopping Pacquiao. Pacquiao showed he had one hell of a beard at WW against Cotto and PBF showed his lack thereof in the punching power department against JMM. If PBF were to win this fight it would be by decision (unanimous or split) with that I'm almost sure of.

There is more to stopping people than just "hitting the hardest". Naz was seconds away from stopping the Shane fight.

For Pacquiao's sake I hope PBF does try to walk him down and try to force him into a slug fest. Every fighter that I've seen that tried to bring the fight to Pacquiao has kissed the canvas. And judging from the 2nd round in the PBF/Mosley fight, I don't think PBF will be any different.

Be as it may, I don't think PBF will implore that strategy (trying to lure pacquiao into a fight). I think he's going to box, counter punch, and try to frustrate Pacquiao. Going with recent history, fighting fire with fire against Pacquiao is not the most sensible thing to do.
