I'm getting sick of all the disrespect Clottey has been shown. Nobody on this site has the fucking right to bad mouth a fighter like you guys do Clottey.

Calling a fighter a 'coward' is the biggest fucking insult and Clottey certainly is no Coward.

What a joke of a fight. After such an entertaining fight w/ cotto .... a complete SHAME

      SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So just because Clottey put in a terrible performance in a fight, you have lost all respect for him?

      That is weak.

Unlike most posters on this site who "pose" as boxing fans, I actually like watching Clottey fight. He just wasn't himself vs Pacquiao. I don't give a fuck about that.

Hopefully we get to see him fight in September.
He was definitely himself. Pac's speed just scared him and made him stay in his shell. Clottey doesn't take enough chances coming forward unless your in his range. He's a sitting duck.

i mean cotto was cut bad, and was on survival mode

but he still couldn't pull it off.
Exactly. Cotto could really settle the score. Because I think he's better than Clottey, and their first fight was too close.

It's easy to lose respect for someone who either looks for a way out of a fight or makes excuses all the time. Josh Clottey is that guy. I respect him more than Cintron.

Fair enough. But that is no reason to call the man a 'coward' and say "I will never watch him fight again". That's a load of ****.

Pacquiao was just too good, Clottey couldn't handle him. end of

It's different dude. Clottey saw that from the very start his style didn't match up too well against Pacquiao. He still continued to use the same style, never changed it up, and that told me he wasn't in there to win. Also understand that I didn't reach this conclusion through watching Clottey-Pacquiao.

Duran was being humiliated by Leonard. He saw that he couldn't do nothing to catch him. He couldn't change his style, Leonard was showboating, clowning his ass etc. Duran took the easy way out and claimed "cramps"

How is that different. IMO what Duran did was worse. Do you expect Clottey to just morph into a fighter he is not? Clottey has his own set of skills and fighting style.

There was nothing Clottey could have done. He is not a volume puncher.

As Gorilla Dogs mentioned, Clottey has a low punch output.

Clottey deserves respect. He is a fighter. I hope to see his next fight soon.

I don't know about you guys

I feel really, really bad for the guy, and I got to give him props for this interview. He cut the excuses and just said he didn't have the heart going into the fight. Understandable. The pressure of fighting in such a big even with every remotely credible boxing writer picking you to lose had to be unreal.

I also liked what he had to say about Pacquiao being two steps ahead of him the whole fight. By far the most interesting Clottey related artice I'ver read.

Clottey / Margarito is the perfect fight. Two disgraced fighters trying to take back their legacy. I'd love to see it.
