Comments Thread For: Clottey Breaks Silence: Talks Pacquiao, Cotto, Margarito

Former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey had disappeared from the media spotlight after losing a lopsided decision to Manny Pacquiao on March 13th in the inaugural boxing match at the new Cowboys stadium in Dallas, Texas. BoxingScene.com spoke to Joshua Clottey about what went wrong in that fight and also spoke to Ghanan on his planned ring return and more in this exclusive interview.

Unfortunately, Clottey left a bad taste in everyone's mouth after his last performance. I don't think I would ever pay to see him fight again but would watch on HBO or Showtime (if they ever bring him back)...

Seems like typical excuses to me. I want to see Clottey and Cotto fight again, but until Clottey wins a decent fight it wont matter.

Typical Joshua Clottey, Never giving his opponents props for beating his ass and always having SOME excuse to why he lost.

He Josh, maybe you lost cuz they were the better fighter in general?

Thats why i got no respect for this guy. Be a man and just say YOU LOST .... fk man

Clottey still has my respect. I think it is a good idea for him to move upto 154. He can move himself into title contention again.

Unlike most posters on this site who "pose" as boxing fans, I actually like watching Clottey fight. He just wasn't himself vs Pacquiao. I don't give a fuck about that.

Hopefully we get to see him fight in September.

did you not read the interview???

Clottey gave Pacquiao his props. He basically said Pacquiao was able to counter his shots all night and that Pacquiao was able to throw from many different angles.

What do you want him to say?? "Pacquiao is God and I got my ass whooped"??

No. Cause that didn't happen. Pacquiao only managed to land 20% of his punches.

Now learn how to read properly next time.

He made no attempt to win, screw the guy. To think I was actually a fan at some point

I remember people constantly telling me that he had no heart, and I would argue against that. Turns out I was wrong from the start!

Roberto Duran had no heart also.

                  You guys are fake.

You will turn on a fighter because he just wasn't able to perform on the biggest night of his life.

                    Shut up son

The man is all excuses. Manny landing 20 percent isnt too bad considering he was facing a guy who just kept covering up. Most pitiful performance by a fighter ive ever seen (CLOTTEY)

What a joke of a fight. After such an entertaining fight w/ cotto .... a complete SHAME
