Duran was being humiliated by Leonard. He saw that he couldn't do nothing to catch him. He couldn't change his style, Leonard was showboating, clowning his ass etc. Duran took the easy way out and claimed "cramps"

How is that different. IMO what Duran did was worse. Do you expect Clottey to just morph into a fighter he is not? Clottey has his own set of skills and fighting style.

There was nothing Clottey could have done. He is not a volume puncher.

As Gorilla Dogs mentioned, Clottey has a low punch output.

Clottey deserves respect. He is a fighter. I hope to see his next fight soon.

We only saw that from Duran once. Duran actually had a strong will to win, and would go hard till the very end. Where as Clottey doesn't push himself, he could have easily gotten the win against both Cotto and Margarito, but instead he chokes. I was a fan of Clottey, but I don't have that kind of tolerance.

I said from the very start that Pacquiao was going to dominate. I even said it was going to be a mismatch, but never did I expect that Clottey wasn't gonna try. Even when JLC was giving Mayweather a very hard time, Mayweather turned southpaw, even traded against the much bigger Castillo. Look at Mosley, stylistically Forrest was all wrong for him. Still Mosley faught hard till the very end and looked to land a big shot. Clottey was content on sticking to a style that wasn't effective against Pacquiao, and the reason he didn't open up was because he lacked the heart.

Facts were he didnt want to be in there, Facts were he didnt want to get hit and would only let his hands go when he knows he would get hit and that was one of the reasons he got beat easily because Pac never stopped throwing at him.

I don't believe that. Clottey does not lack heart. He may lack the drive and determination to close a fight out but the same could be said about De La Hoya, and I don't hear people calling him a coward.

What Duran did was disgraceful and far worse than Clottey's inability to take out the last 2 rounds vs Cotto and put in a better performance vs Pacquiao.

You have to also take into consideration there is nothing Clottey posseses that could trouble Pacquiao. Nothing. And here we are victimising a fighter for not being something he's not.

I'm willing to give Clottey a chance to redeem himself, you can do whatever you want.

Precisely. He knew that he'll get hit whenever he throws so he didn't throw. There is nothing much he can do at that point. The more he throws, the more he gets hit. I'm sure Hatton is in his mind so best thing to do is to protect yourself.

Pac is just too much for him.
