What it really sounds like is Schaefer got the best deal he could get and sent it over to Floyd cause why would Schaefer say no comment and act like he's not confident the deal will get done if he was happy with what's in the deal? Remember the only one saying all is well is Bob "the old snake" Arum. I think they put the 14 days and 50/50 in a agreement and sent it to Floyd and they know he's gonna say f**k off then TR will say, see Floyd doesn't want this fight cause we agreed to everything he wanted before and he still says no so we're gonna fight Cotto. Here comes the BULL****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tend to agree. Bob is negotiating for himself 1st and manny 2nd. I truly believe manny wants the fight and so does floyd. But anyone on this board who thinks floyd is gonna give Bob what he wants is nuts!

Anyone who thinks Floyd got his 60-40 demand is crazy! There is no way Pacman or Arum would accept that. I think the 60-40 was a ploy to get the defamation lawsuit dropped and then they could agree to 50-50. You gotta remember, both Roger and Sr. stated FACT about Pacman with no proof, they were probably going to lose the lawsuit. Be that as it may, guys just make the fight, you both made concessions, so just do it. If not, then we will never see it and all these people on these sites will fight forever about who was/is better...

And a quick note, mayber Floyd Jr. doesn't want to fight without Roger in his corner. Roger goes on trial August 2nd and has three felony counts pending against him. People SAW him strangling that woman so he is basically screwed and probably going to jail for a few years. Floyd and his father may have made up and might be all lovey dovey and **** but Jr. doesn't want Sr. to steal any of his thunder, so I doubt Jr. would let his Dad train him....

The article says that the negotiation between Top Rank & Golden Boy Promotion ( Representative of Floyd) is already completed and the two major problem has been resolve. The final proposal is already sent to Floyd for his aproval. It means that they only waiting for Floyd to sign the contract so they can announce the fight.

There is no comment from the Golden Boy Promotion as of now denying this news so that means that Arum is not telling a lie.

BTW I just notice on most of Floyd's fans comments here that they dont want to believe that the fight is going to happen and it seems that they already defending Floyd for not making this fight. LOL

If I remember correctly, Floyd said no 50/50 and no cut offs. 60/40 and random was what he asked for.. Therefore, this doesnt excite me a bit. You can't just expect Floyd to sign immediately on terms that arent what he specified.
