i agree that he did think he could beat pac at 147..i dont think oscar felt like pac would carry his speed let alone his power. looked to me like he gained both speed and power...not a natural occurance

exactly!!! he can come in light,why does he have to make the champ come down,i though it was ridiculous how he made cotto come down but fought at 147 with clottey...if he wants the belt,then let cotto weigh in at 154,he's the champ at that weight and if pac doesn't like it,then find somebody else to fight

Like you said he just fought at his walking weight, and like i said he has weighed in close to 147 fight night as a junior lightweight.

Turns out he could carry his weight up fine to 147

At 147 he doesnt have to lose water weight and can eat on the day of the weighin and still weigh in under the 147 limit

Plus Floyd is arguing that Pac is "too good" at that weight, not that he gained to much weight

come on you said that pac walking wieght is lw and going up 19 pounds would affect anyone negatively...somone said he came from 108 pounds..moving up and having more speed and power in my opinion is enough to ask for tests..you know that given what you have said it is enought to ask for a drug test...but i guess we agree to disagree.

maybe we will get somewhere in another argument..seem like it wont be this one.

DLH had the bargining chips not Pac, he had the bigger share and wasnt gonna let anyone boss him around.

It is true.....Oscar was NOT allowed to weigh more than 147 on the night of the fight.That was stipulated in the contract...
In case you haven't been paying attention-it doesn't matter who holds the bargaining chips-Manny is a pain to deal with in negotiations.He gets what he wants exclusively-or there is no fight....just pay attention to the Hatton, Oscar and Cotto fights.At some point all over here on BS these fights were called off numerous times....
I NEVER see these same problems with Floyd's negotiations until now.
Manny wants ALL the advantages (glove size and ring size..as well as weight),yet plays victim like he is the "smaller" man.....he has duped these people.If Cotto EVER takes another fight with Manny for HIS belt-he better demand strict testing as well (he has a claim that his only 2 losses come from possible cheats) and say no catchweight....even then,I doubt the public would be remotely interested in this.

The fact that Cotto is an option to team Pac shows that he doesn't have many options left anymore...besides maybe Margarito.

I rather see Pac won't fight anyone than to fight in another catchweight just to say he claimed his 8th world titles! that's BS! Not even considering fighting Cotto again, or Mosley left over Marg.. that's lame and nothing proves at all!!!
