Manny, Margarito and COtto all have one thing in common, Bob Arum. I think Floyd doesnt want to do any kind of business with him. Anybody who says that floyd has a history of ducking opponents like you quoted must've just watched boxing in like 2005 or 2006. The last time i checked FLoyd fought and beat more current and lineal champions that Pacquiao did. What kills me is that Floyd is held to a level of perfection and excellence that fighters like Manny are allowed to be average for. When was the last time Manny fought the top 135lber, cause last i checked David Diaz lost his prior fight before he fought manny, and at the time Juan Diaz was undefeated and called Manny out, did you see Manny running to fight him, or Nate Campbell at the time. How about when he moved up to 140lbs, i didnt see Timothy Bradley, Kendall Holt or Ricardo Torres on his list. At ww, lets see he fought de la hoya he fought at WW for the 1st time in over 10years and came into the fight on fight night at 146lbs, he fought Cotto at 145lbs,(and how that fight was allowed to be a title fight is beyond me). I give him credit for beating and knocking guys around that's bigger than him, but thats as far as my credit goes. He hasn't fought anybody ranked number1 in their respective weight class, so why is it on that Mayweather is receiving criticism for his choice of opponents when Pacquiao has been doing the same thing.

Its funny people use common opponents as a denominator to see who would win if the two ever met up. I hear people say well Pacquiao knocked out Hatton in 2rds and made de la hoya quit in 9. But those same people dont' dare look at Mayweathers fight with Marquez as the same denominator to back up Mayweather's claim that a fight between the 2 of them would be close. Why is that?
good post, dont forget cassamayor or guzman or frietas. there are several others that have been duck by manny and roach. shane is another. but roach is no dummy. all manny's fights have been carefully planned and set up. thats why he fights guys at a catch wt or a wt they have'nt fought at in a LONG time. i think this fight will be made simply due to the shear amt of money involved. dont be suprised when the winner is floyd by late round stoppage.

More bull****. They aren't calling Mayweather's bluff, they've come to the realization that they're ****ed as far as negotiations go.

If Manny agrees to Floyd's demands it's because he HAD to...but if you'd rather look at it like Roach does to save face, so be it.

      Round1, 10-9 Mayweather.

        Manny ducked those fighters?

Manny had as many catchweight fights as Floyd 1. Yet Floyd couldn't meet the weight requirements (144) in the contract.

this fight will never live up to the hype.
while it would be cool to watch its not that good a match up.
pretty boy has bad hands & pac is a little man. its all hype to make
money there was a time this would have been a good under card fight

I predict that in 5 hrs or so there will be another interview in which someone says "Mayweather-Pac not happening, all hope is lost."

This back and forth **** is weak.

Yep.. It's just Team Pac and Team May people talking.

Once Arum, Shaefer, Manny, or Floyd say it's on.. then I'll believe it.

                    Ring size = standard 20x20

Gloves = 8 oz (mayweathers usual gloves)

10 mil/plty = Floyd did not abide by the contract and came in overweight vs. marquez. Do you see Floyd cheating the scales? If not, there should be no issues

yes in truth manny did duck all those fighters and more. while floyd did not meet the catch wt reqs he paid the price. floyd fought oscar at 154 and beat him. at 154 oscar would have beat pac IMO. like freddie roach is no dummy, as part of the deal, oscar had to wt 147 on fight night. this prevented him from re-hydrating and left him weak and very tired. roach said if they fought shane they wanted the fight at 140. shane said ok!!!!! and roach said, not going to happemn. your just too good for my guy. i've said several times pac ducked lots of fighters and yet he has a take on all fighters tag per the boxing media. why is that ?
