Pressure, pressure, pressure. He should have used the Gene Fullmer approach and stayed on top of Mayweather the entire time, trying to rough him up. It probably wouldn't have made any differene in the end, but that was his ONLY shot to beat Mayweather.Comment

Great points, that is exactly what Gatti SHOULD have tried to do, I think it's clear that Gatti has lost that warrior's mentality, and really by no fault of his own, Gatti's wealthy now and doesn't have the hunger to win the big fights, I think it was Marvelous Marvin that said that it's "hard to get up early in the morning and do road work when you're wearing silk pajamas"....Gatti's a rich man and has no reason to go to war with a world-class fighter when there's a Ferrari in the driveway and no mortgage payment....did you see the Countdown show on HBO? Did you hear what Gatti's motivation was vs. Wilson Rodriguez? Gatti had just ordered a car and needed to pay for it still, so that's why he fought thru the swollen eye, pretty sad if you ask me, but it was a classic nonetheless and it was one of the reasons why Gatti got $3mil+ to sell his belt to a superior fighter on the 25th, becuase of the chance that maybe the unexpected would occur, but obviously Floyd ain't no Wilson Rodriguez!Originally posted by RiptorComment
