Nothing Gatti should have fought like he does in all his other fights. He needed to brawl for this one and instead chose to box....Idiot

The white, rugged Steve Collins took on the black, skilled Mike McCallum for the WBA title in 1990. Stevie was being beaten down like a dog before he abandoned his fight plan and went right at McCallum, causing Mike no end of problems and winning the latter rounds going all-out instead of boxing. After the fight, Stevie said that had he done that from the start he'd of won and McCallum nodded in agreement. Mike quickly let it be known that no ammount of money would entice him back into a ring with Collins again!

So Gatti should of done that, he should of abandoned his fight plan and just went all-out because that was his only hope in the end after those rounds of beat-down.

Closed the distance a lot quicker, trying to box Floyd was a mistake. He needed to rough him up abit to survive the 12. I didnt think Gatti would win but i thought he'd have done better.

Gatti was in a no-win situation in his fight with Floyd.
Had he been more aggressive, he'd been hit more, & harder, than he was hit that night.

He was just overmatched, period. He was in with a fighter who is just so far superior to him.

he didn't have many options apart from turning the fight into a street ball.....i don't know why he didn't attempt this, considering that castillo did this and whipped pbf's ass in the first fight with these tactics.

Not showed up, other than that i agree with everyone else he needed to turn this into a fight, not a boxing match. Gatti needed to let his hands go, close the distance and not worry about boxing.
