**** he was the WBO's #1 number contender while Bradley is not only the the Ring number one 140 lbs but dont forget that Pacquiao also still is the 140 lbs Ring champ (yeah he's told the Ring Magazine that he doesn't wanna vacate cause supposedly he might defend it), so it would actually make sense for the number one guy to fight against the R.M. champ instead of a guy who won a world championship against a shot Judah and couldn't pull off the kill against a one eyed Cotto.

He's never beaten ANYONE besides Zab Judah.... and coming off a loss entitles you to a fight more than the #1 fighter and champion at 140?

Again it's black and white with you! You just see a loss on Clottey's record but I actually watched the fights and saw Clotty fight on even terms with World class opposition/ PFP top 10 fighters and in one case I felt he won the ***ing fight. Jesus man can't you see Clottey is World class caliber because he has actually proven he can fight on even terms with them. bradley is a question mark. Whats he gonna do when he stops fighting B- fighters.

Why would the #1 p4p fighter and WW champion give Clottey a fight who had just lost to a fighter that he just beat easily in his last fight?

Lets all be real, the only reason 95% of you think Bradley should fight Pac is because Pac has just fought a non attraction in Clottey.

For some reason Bradley is more deserving then before the Clottey fight even though Bradley hasnt fought since Dec 09.

Stop saying that since Pac already fought a no name that another no name deserves a shot

The reality is that I would have much rather seen Pacquaio fight Bradley than Clottey based on a number of reasons.














1. Clottey had lost his previous fight.

2. Clottey passive style when he's faced adversity.

3. Clottey had proven TWICE that he loses the big fights.

4. Bradley is a young unbeaten world champion that brings it and shows(unlike Clottey) that he doesn't fold up when things get tough.


So who looks like the more attractive opponent? I think its time for YOU to be real and stop looking at this from the perspective of a Manny Pacquiao apologist, and start looking at it as a boxing fan. And stop trying to compare Bradley's accomplishments to Clottey's as if they are equal.

I would LOVE pac/bradley but its not gonna happen, anytime soon at least, so people should stop biitching about it.

We as boxing fans RARELY get the exact fight we want, and obssessing over a fight that wont happen is a bit silly IMO

Compared to Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto they are ***ing club fighters. Those two Names alone have been in the Top 10 PFP rankings at one point in time in their careers. When have Junior Witter, Nate Campbell, and Kendell Holt even sniffed the top 30 ever in their careers?

Remember we are talking Manny Pacman the "best" world class fighter in the world. he's more than just the 140 pound champion and to be honest i don't think Bradley is any more qualifed to fight pac than any of the top 140 Pounders.

I can throw the black and white claim right back in your face.

Junior Witter was the WBC Jr WW Champion, and he went to the UK to beat him in his own backyard. He has wins over world class opponents, which you said he hasn't.. which isn't true.

I've seen all Clotteys fights, so you don't get any extra credit because you've "seen" them.

In every single "BIG" fight Clottey has lost, and that fact cannot be denied. The Cotto fight was there for the taking and he still couldn't get it done, because he couldn't pull the trigger enough. Same case as has always been with Clottey.


Bradley is in fact the JR WW champion and #1 ranked fighter in the division. Pacquiao is the ring 140lb champion. That fight is more deserving than Clottey... who's best win is Zab Judah, not mentioning coming off a loss in his very last fight.



The MAIN point is this.


If Joshua Clottey was not with Bob Arum, Joshua Clottey would have NEVER fought Pacquiao.

He didn't fight on even terms because he lost. Being competitive is not the same as winning. He lost those fights and he found a way to do it. It's a pattern with Clottey.

We are talking about world class champions in their weight class.

Which Holt, Campbell, and Witter all have been.

And here's the kicker... Bradley actually won those fights.

AND HE LOST, to Margarito and Cotto.... so what's even the point?

What I am talking about the RING 140lb champion Pacquiao fighting the #1 140lb champion Bradley being more relevant than Clottey coming off a loss and his biggest WIN is Zab Judah.

Stop listing Clotteys losses as his resume, it's killing your argument.
