I dont think Pacquiao is particuarly unorthadox, Erik Morales and Juan Manuel Marquez had no problems adjusting to his style and hitting him at will. So I dont think that's an advantage for him over Floyd, Whenever ive watched Pacquiao he seems to fight the same way every time. It's just that his opponents couldnt handle the pressure (and there was reasons for this such as the opponent being past prime, weight drained or shot, possibly all three). Floyd wont be like that, Pacquiao is going to have a hell of a time trying to hit Floyd unlike his last 5 opponents all of which had no defence whatsoever. Other than maybe Clottey, Who just stood there not even attempting to win the fight.

I think his only chance is to hit Floyd early and hurt him to the point where he makes Floyd fight his fight. But I just dont see that happening.

how long will floyd be able to last without getting tagged by a big shot?
or is floyd gonna be in a shell for 12 rounds

          pacquiao now counters counters

floyd wont discourage manny, pacquiao will only get more agressive if he thinks he's losing, the guy is a serious warrior
manny will lose hard when his people decide to risk the cash cow.

only reason the fight hasn't happened are manny's people don't want manny to fight floyd, lol.

Your right, neither do i tbh, but he does seem to be able to switch angles on you and hit from crazy angles, plus i would say its his in and out rhythm that is not so easy to time coming in, see JMM? could not get out the way of that straight left hand in both fights, Pacquiao seems to have developed his Arsenal since then to.

I dont think he will have a particularly hard time hitting Mayweather, particularly being as he is a Southpaw, now im not saying he will land consistently!, but he wont find it as hard to hit him as the orthodox fighters have done, most! of the leftys Floyd has fought have managed to hit him, both Corley and Judah.

I guess its a bit like Joe Calzaghe, i personally never thought he looked like a particularly awkward Southpaw, but almost everyone he fought complained about his awkward style, now my response to that is, he was a busy, aggressive Southpaw, just like Manny, not particularly awkward, but very effective if you let him come on, however as i said, if! Mayweather back him up like i expect him to, he should win.

yeah, the south paws hit him, but in single digit percentages. At the end of the day floyd drops the output of every opponent he faces. The southpaws get some light because they hit him good, but the proper perspective is that they him rarely!

also Zab Judah is very nice with his hands and he has power in both of his hands. He also has a longer reach than pacquiao and despite what you may think, he is faster in his hands and foot. Pacquiao is just nice with putting punches together in bunches, but if he misses that 1st shot then what....he gets countered!!

i think someone has already mentioned this, but Floyd is a master of distance! with his reach and size he will control range where he can hit Pacquiao frequently without getting hit in the process. after this fight, all will momentarily see the greatness of Floyd (like all of his other fights) until the chants of william or Martinez start!
