Anyone who said that this is a good style matchup for Shane knows absolutely nothing about boxing. Vernon Forrest (twice) Winky Wright (twice) Cotto and Mayweather. All of these guys simply outboxed Mosley, the guy cannot beat a boxer its as simple as that. He'll lose and it won't be a big payday because Martinez isn't a draw and neither is Mosley.

Forget about it!!!!! Sergio Martinez would kill Mosley. I'd rather see Mosley vs Berto. I was very sad when the Berto cancelled his fight with Mosley due to the Katrina quake but they should definitely schedule this fight ASAP.

        Leonard never fought below 147.

Lewis wanted Tyson before the first Tyson-Holyfield fight. At that time Tyson was not considered "old" or washed up. It was Don King who paid Tyson's mandatory Lewis 3 million to step aside for the Holyfield fight. Lewis never avoided Tyson and certainly never looked for "easy" fights.

It will be a repeat of the first Mosley-Wright fight I think. Mosley losing a wide decision. Martinez is naturally bigger and a nightmare style wise for Mosley.

              why not 150 or 151???

155 is a bit high for mosley plus 39 years old.

i just lost respect for sergio who i had held very high with respect...

going after an almost 40 year old 15 lbs above his prime weight...

              sad..

i think shane has some left in the tank, the lay off and rust was very detrimental against floyd.

why wouldnt sergio offer this to floyd who just beat shane? i dont get it

i hope shane takes the fight, sergio is solid but doesnt have the punching power to hurt shane.

floyd sat down on a lot of his punches and beat shane up, but sergio is not that fast plus he is fleeing all the time and moving away when throwing.

i think it is bs sergio is going after shane at this weight i hope shane takes it and surprises everyone

              shane is a warrior

My question is why not 154 since Martinez holds a belt there?

                    This is pure nonsense!

If sergio Martinez fights shane, he will lose a fan! He is way too big for shane and shane is a faded fighter! Sergio should chase cintrash, Felix Sturm (a *****!) or el perro (another sheltered fighter)or fight at 154 or 160,
but to fight shane is a pure disgrace and I am a huge fan of Sergio Martinez! Dibella should be ashamed of himself!

Didn't realize that. Thanks and that explains it.
