[QUOTE=ree****yaluss;8683768]Not a great style match up for Shane at this point... But, it is without a doubt his best opportunity for not only monetery purposes but achievement potential as well.

I would give him about a 30% chance to win, though. By the time the fight would be made, Shane would be 39 years old. He doesn't have the movement to keep up with Martinez at all... let alone at 155lbs. He would also have about a 2 1/2" height disadvantage as well.

The most important thing Mosley would want to do in this fight is to cut off the ring and make it a dog fight. I doubt he has the stamina to do that for a hard fought 12 rounds against a bigger man, but Martinez does get sloppy at times and does leave his hands down... that if Mosley could cut off the ring and get inside he could cause some damage. Another positive for Shane is, Martinez isn't a high volume puncher, he has mid fight lapses, along with stamina issues himself.

If he allows Martinez to circle and flurry, then it's game, set, match. Which will probably be the case.

I would rather Williams rematch Martinez, but I'd be interested in the matchup. Martinez is 35 years old himself.[/QUO

    good post!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this fight a lot for both guys. For Mosley if he loses, it wont be too bad becasue he is way past prime, and has lost his legendary stamina. On the flip side if he wins, then this will shock the boxing world even more then his destruction of Margarito, and he WILL be able to land on last momentous payday with the likes of Pacquiao and then go off into the sunset as a bonafide legend. On the other side if Martinez loses, then it is back into the shadows for him, but if he winsa a househol name like Mosley's will greatly enhance his appeal and let him earn the moeny against the two cash cows he deserves.

Getting back to the fight I find it very hard to see Mosley winning, but if this is the same Mosley who beat Margarito I can see him beating Martinez. However, I would put my money on martinez to use his footspeed advantage and circle Mosley and throw flurries. If Mosley can mount a sustained body attack and then take aim at Martinez' chin, which hangs in the air for portions of his fights he can take it. At this stage though I do not see it happening, and think Martinez would win a close but clear fight over this Mosley.

All of those fights make no sense whatsoever.

Cotto vs Shane shouldve happened immediately after thier first fight, Martinez Wiliams II shouldnt be considered since Paul Williams already proved too much for Martinez when the going got tough. And Martinez vs Mayweather?? That really makes no sense at all.

Mayweather needs to fight Pacquiao or Cotto. Just to prove he can fight a prime fighter that isnt from a lower weight class or way past prime

thing is tho....Martinez said he wanted to fight alot of contenders from cotto to bute. but chances are none of the even aggred to fight him. this is most cases with boxers nowadays as those who WANT to get a big fight can't get it cause people don't wanna fight or just plain greedy and want a lot of money. so fighters like segiro and dawson are stuck fighting these old contenders who know anit got it in em anymore. it's never about fighting to prove your worth nowadays.

anyways i like this fight, but i don't see shane winning at all in this one. if he comes in like he did vs mayweather and only last 2 rounds he won't stand a chance vs martinez.
