He's still quite inexperienced for someone who's gonna be moving like Dawson. If he was getting picked apart from the outside and inside against Froch what makes him stand a better chance against Dawson. I give Pascal a slightly better than puncher's chance in this fight.
From 168-175 Nobody Beats Bad Chad imo

Only people I can see giving Bad Chad problems is Dirrell and Ward and I still think Dawson can UD both of them.Comment

Dawson can hurt Bute. He can definitely make Bute respect him.I believe that Bute would outpoint or stop Chad, if you can't hurt Bute your going to have a rough time with him. Ward could possibly outpoint Chad as well. I think this kid Cleverly coming up in the UK could as well in a year or two.
Chad is an excellent fighter though, one of the best currently in the game.Comment

Chad doesn't need to chase fighters around by dropping down to 168. They will all come to him sooner, rather than later. Pascal moved up after his first loss.
By the end of the first stage of the Super 6, I see Allan Green and someone else either fighting 1 more fight against Bute or moving up to 175. After the semifinals, there'll either be rematches, Bute, or moving up. Dawson has 2 (4 if Hopkins and Calzaghe want it), seeing his schedule that will last him until Feb., March, or April. He'll have more opponent to choose from by that time.
I just want to see how Dawson deals with Pascal's movement and speed because if he deals with it well, these other fighters are ****ed. It's about time I get a Dawson gif too.
i agree, all Dawson needs to do is clean out 75 by beating Pascal and Cloud and half of the 68 pounders will move up. Taylor might resume his career at 75 also.Comment

****, Pavlik was even doubtful on whether he was gonna settle in at 168 or 175. I am almost 100% sure that at least half of the Super 6 will be campaigning at 175 at this time next year.
The only thing I see suspect in Dawson is his confidence in his stamina. Not the fact that he takes a couple rounds off, but the fact that in the last Johnson fight his output dropped too low in the rounds he didn't take off.
Other than that, Dawson is on another level and that makes his style that much more difficult.
I'm not too worried about the Pascal fight if the refs are legit. If Cloud comes in after a year off, he's gonna lose a decision, but if he's sharp, he improves his chances pretty good.Comment

We shall see... I'm very impressed by his Adamek win considering how Adamek has done since then.
Ward has a DAMN good argument though, of being up there with him. Bute would too if he wins their showdown after the Super 6... or whoever wins it (could be Dirrell!).
Alexander and Bradley both are playing the part of dominant badass too... the winner of that fight would eclipse Dawson and Ward resume wise.
Gamboa has a good argument if he beats Lopez (like he probably should at this point, but that shootout will be AWESOME to watch).
Williams could be up there if he keeps winning, even with his style that seems like he should be going down sometime soon.
Martinez could be up there with a few more wins.
Yeah, I think that sums up the list. Martinez is probably a bit old to be making a ton of impact at this point though... everyone else is fair game for the future.Comment
