People always make it seem that Hatton himself is negatively impacted by weighing in at 147lbs before the fight. Its the fighters at 147 that present the issue not the weight itself. A fighter similar to Callazo at 140lbs would also have success against Hatton. He was slick enough to cause problems and big enough to not get bullied. If a fighter like that cut weight like Hatton does and fought at that weight it would be similar results. Floyd did fight the better version of Hatton however Pac still KOs any version of Hatton earlier than Floyd due to the contrast in styles.Comment

Manny did..
He fought Hatton at his natural weight.. 140,
Hatton also had Floyd Sr at his trainer.. you know the same guy who Trained Jr and is the best trainer ever!
Hatton came off a huge win boxing the **** out of Paulie too..Comment

Obviously Mayweather.
In a short explanation, Hatton was undefeated. So of course that was the better version.Comment

ok, fan of the catchweight king"mannyweight"Weight means nothing to *****s. They probably wonder why weight classes even exist.
If Floyd beats a minimumweight fighter, they'll talk about how Floyd outboxed him instead of the inherent mismatch. Just like how they always say "jmm beat pac twice and mayweather toyed with him, so mayweather will beat pac even easier."
fan of manny who was draining himself to fight smaller guys instead of moving up like floyd and challenging himselfComment

Hatton is affected by the weight, but not as much as his opponent. For him to be at his best, he needs to fight at his natural weight AND have his opponent be naturally 140 or smaller. That's how all fighters is. Reason shane lost to vernon was because vernon was just to damn big for Shane.People always make it seem that Hatton himself is negatively impacted by weighing in at 147lbs before the fight. Hatton at 140 coupled with the fact that his opponent (manny) is smaller than him equals him being at his best. As an athlete of any sport, you want a situation where every advantage is to you and every disadvantage is to your opponent.
And a fully grown fighter doesn't get stronger as he goes up in weight, he only gets fatter and slower. If you're talking about a kid then yeah, he's still growing, but there's a point where you're at your max potential in height and weight that any more weight is just excess weight. 147 is excess weight for Hatton AND Pacquiao. How pac keeps doing it, I don't know.Comment

man, thats padding hatton hit not a metal bar. have you ever been in a ring before? there is nothing solid in the padding at all. the punch hurt hatton not himself. the only thing the post did was keep him in the ring and not allow him to fall outComment

there is no such thing as a huge win against paulie, especially when you are hatton.
you are delusional, at bestComment

That's an easy one. Floyd beat the better version of Hatton and was the first to knock him out at that. Post Mayweather, Hatton struggled with Juan Lazcano and was almost knocked out again if it wasn't for the infamous shoe tying incident. Think about that people, Juan ****ing Lazcano!!!Comment
