Exactly - the Showtime tournament took months to organise, but team Khan has reportedly rejected it out of hand without even negotiating, after Khan had actually called for a tournament very recently - so his bluff's been called and he's been shown up again (unless Shaw is lying, which is why I asked if Boxingscene could ask HBO to confirm or deny the story).

Khan and Golden Boy are going to try and cherry pick there way through this. No one should be surprised by this. Khan is a *****.Comment

You could show a video of Lewis-McCall - so what? At least he took that fight, knowing it was risky, against the advice of his own promoter. He came back well from that, and has dramatically improved under Roach, and deserves credit for doing so. He's beaten two top 10 fighters very convincingly in the last 12 months. He deserves to be criticised for apparently not wanting to fight the best, but you go too far and make yourself look silly by pretending he's far worse that he actually is.Last edited by Dave Rado; 06-14-2010, 08:29 PM.Comment

Even if that were true, which I dispute, that's a reason to negotiate a better agreement, it is not a reason not to have tournaments.Last edited by Dave Rado; 06-14-2010, 08:28 PM.Comment
