No it isnt outrageous at all, no denying that but considering Pac has passed every test since day one it seems people are seriously desperate to find a reason why Pac beat up their favorite fighter..Not really, because believing Floyd Mayweather Sr. is the greatest trainer ever is outrageous.
Believing that Manny Pacquiao, or any other world class athlete, uses PEDs to get an extra edge is not outrageous at all.
People who truly think there is NO way that Pacquiao, Mayweather, or any other boxer out there uses any PEDs belong in the same category as adults who believe in the Easter Bunny and Toothfairy.
For sure if Pac does take the OST style testing and is clean, people will still say he is still on PEDs and found a way to beat the test..Comment

Floyd wanting to clean up the sport is bull****.
Floyd saying Pacquiao is on something, well I don't know what goes on in Pacquiao's training camp. Anyone in pro sports can be on something, especially in boxing when fighters know when they get tested.
There is not a single athlete in all of sports whom I'd actually be surprised if they used PEDs.
But the situation could've been handled better by both sides. Team Mayweather should've just asked for stricter testing and gone with the "we'd like stricter testing in boxing, what better fight to begin a new standard than this one?" talk rather than just saying Manny is dirty. And Manny surely doesn't do himself any favors by saying stuff like "he is bigger than me so the blood tests will bother him less".Comment

People generally dont care if Pac takes this or that test. If he takes the OSDT the fight will happen and that is all we really want.No it isnt outrageous at all, no denying that but considering Pac has passed every test since day one it seems people are seriously desperate to find a reason why Pac beat up their favorite fighter..
For sure if Pac does take the OST style testing and is clean, people will still say he is still on PEDs and found a way to beat the test..
The problem a lot of people have with Pacquiao in regards to this whole PED/OSDT situation is that it is su****ious to refuse taking them using 10 different excuses as to why. And if you werent a devout Pacquiao fan you would find it weird too.
Not many (well some ******ed people) believe Manny is cheating because Mayweather sr says it. People are pissed off because Manny refuse to take the tests.Comment

what reality do you live in? im alittle curious. this post made my laugh...really hard!Winning that championship is Cotto's golden ticket if he (and Top Rank) plays his cards right. I understand his reluctance to give Margarito a big payday after what he did, no one would hold it against him if he never wanted to do business w/ that dirt ball.
BUT...
A rematch w/ Antonio would do big business. It's the only fight not involving Mayweather or Pacquiao that can sell a huge number of PPVs. Top Rank knows this and they will most likely do all they can to convince Miguel to take this fight for Sept or Oct for the 154 lb championship. They'll have a 24/7 that will EASILY be the most entertaining in a long time (a clear villain, revenge angle, high profile trainer and boxing staple Manny Steward, championship on the line, etc) and if they do it at a big stadium like Dallas or the new Meadowlands that would just add to the draw and luster. I could see it doing 800,000+ buys pretty easily (they did c. 500,000 last time out).
The second part of the equation is Pacquiao. Since it's clear the Mayweather clan wants nothing to do w/ him, he should wait until Marquez-Diaz II and if Floyd is still 'retired' by then, sign on to finally give JuanMa the rematch he's so desperately been seeking. Ariza said the plan for Manny/Floyd was to have Pac go up to 150+ and then dehydrate to 147. They should do that for JuanMa, who'll come in at 142ish. Knock him out in whatever stadium Cotto-Margarito doesn't stage their fight in, do 1 million+ buys.
The winner of Cotto-Margarito II takes on Pacquiao for the 154 lb title early next year, probably early May and Pac rides off into the sunset as the only 8 divisional champion in boxing history. And if Cotto wins against Margs, he'll reap the monetary benefits of close to 2 million buys of PPV revenue. Also Top Rank gets to stage 2 massive events this year and Pac's goodbye event next spring... and the fans get to see 2 back-to-back high profile slugfests in the fall.
Everybody wins in that scenario.

True but what gets me is that Shane who has admitted to using PED's and still passed every test that was given, why wasnt this PED issue a big deal to Floyd back then or to anyone..Floyd wanting to clean up the sport is bull****.
Floyd saying Pacquiao is on something, well I don't know what goes on in Pacquiao's training camp. Anyone in pro sports can be on something, especially in boxing when fighters know when they get tested.

Why is the issue a big deal to someone who has never been caught, admitted, or been sold out by a PED manufacturer or representative..
Im not leaving out the possibility that Pac could have or may have beat the system but he is still innocent until the facts are out.. and the fact that Floyd Sr. and Family accuse him for using PED's arent facts enough to prove he is a user..Comment

People are like that with any fighter. It isn't always about PEDs, but people always find a way to nitpick and downgrade a fighter's wins.No it isnt outrageous at all, no denying that but considering Pac has passed every test since day one it seems people are seriously desperate to find a reason why Pac beat up their favorite fighter..
For sure if Pac does take the OST style testing and is clean, people will still say he is still on PEDs and found a way to beat the test..
Mayweather-Corrales: Chico killed himself making weight and was about to go to prison.
Mayweather-Mosley: Mosley was old and inactive for 16 months.
Pacquiao-Hatton: Hatton's punch resistance looked diminished ever since the Mayweather loss. Juan Lazcano rocked and hurt him.
Pacquiao-Cotto: Margarito ruined Cotto's confidence
Leonard-Benitez: Benitez trained for two weeks and was ****ing Ray's sister.
Leonard-Duran 2: Duran was weight-drained, Leonard admitted he wanted Duran to blow up in weight and then fight him.
Leonard-Hearns: Hearns cut too much weight, 6'1 and 145, Leonard was lucky the rules hadn't been changed to 12 rounds yet.
Hopkins-Trinidad: Tito was too small
Hopkins-Pavlik: Pavlik was too small
Ali-Liston: Liston didn't train hard, he was a drunk, plus he was really older than his reported age.
See how easy it is?Comment

It was a big enough deal to Floyd that he demanded Olympic style drugtesting with not cutoff date with Shane.
The reason is that a big fight like this were never killed because of it.Why is the issue a big deal to someone who has never been caught, admitted, or been sold out by a PED manufacturer or representative..
Show me a person that says Floyd sr's accusation is proof of PED use and i will show you a complete moron.Im not leaving out the possibility that Pac could have or may have beat the system but he is still innocent until the facts are out.. and the fact that Floyd Sr. and Family accuse him for using PED's arent facts enough to prove he is a user..
This is not the point.Comment
