The trainer admitted he did it in an attempt to say Margarito didn't know about it. It was clearly admitted at the hearing, I have linked to that many times before. He wasn't suspended for no reason.

I found the fact that Margarito took the gloves off to be in his favor as well, I just think he was simply to much for Cotto, he didn't get hurt which killed the bully aspect for Cotto, he actually even out boxed Cotto as well so that killed the skilled boxing aspect for Cotto as well and finally he closed the show on him and honestly closed the door on the elite version of Cotto. I have never thought there was even a single shred of any credible evidence that suggested Margarito was loaded up in that fight and as stated the in ring pictures or shots have never given me enough to say "I know he did it" even to myself. I will say if he did fool myself and everyone else and was loaded up in that fight then Cotto would have every right to kill the man. Cotto fans are always so busy hating on anyone that even remotely looks at the real possible explanations, on one hand Cotto could have been beaten with plaster & someone on PED's and his fans think that he can physically mentally and professionally recover from something of that magnitude. On the other hand he could have very well been outclassed by two smarter better fighters who were either tougher or faster than him. Either way Cotto took the beatings. His fans, his promoter and the networks will get this guy killed if they believe the hype and put him in the wrong fights.
