You do have a good point there, I see no reason why he would have started this against Mosley, and back to the original point, there's no way of knowing at this time either way, so we'll just never know.

Look, from an evidence stand point, the day has passed as to be able to check AM's gloves against Cotto. But people have combined fights as far back as the Sebastian Lujan(ripped ear) fight to suggest that AM could've been cheating since then. The rap on Cotto early in his career was that he was beating some experienced guys, but that they were naturally smaller than him. Critics also thought that Cotto had not fought anyone until he fought Judah. Cotto has stepped his game up, and taken on all challenges.

Cotto's Uncle refusing the fight was in Cotto's best interest at the time even though he had a few title defenses at 140...however, when Cotto wanted the Floyd fight, Floyd was leaving Arum which would make Floyd fighting any of Arum's fighters a difficult fight to make. To this day Floyd has not fought a single Arum fighter I don't think.

Exactly, and my point is that people will think AM cheated against Cotto because he tried to cheat Shane. You can't stop people from thinking this way. You can't sway public opinion.
