Because his last fight was in 2007, which means he won't be eligible until at least 2012.

Biggest Corrales fan on the board here. Guys like Chico and Gatti do not belong in the Hall of Fame. You have to draw the line somewhere and just being exciting doesn't cut it. They were very good but not all time great fighters.

The majority of Hall of Famers are not all time greats. By most definitions there are only 100 all time greats. There are already far more than 100 hall of famers.

If Chico and Gatti don't get in, how do you justify the following getting in (just five off the top of my head, there are many more with similar or even worse resumes):

Barry McGuigan
Sammy Angott
Jimmy Carter
Ingemar Johansson
Max Schmeling

I don't often agree with Dave.....but he is right. Guys make it on the back of having exciting fights and making a big impact on the sport.........

Gatti on the back of gems such as the Ward fights, Robinson and others will make it.

Corrales & Castillo will make it aswell.
