For the integrity of IBHOF, he should not be. Although IBHOF has lost it's integrity putting McGuigan and Norris in...........it still can be saved.

Give me a HOF fighter Diego defeated.

From what I know the Hall of Fame does not have a set criteria or a description of what is needed to be considered for it.

Chico is one of those figures that has earned the right to be there, Thats my 2cents, Alot of Floyd Nuthuggers will disagree but they are entitled to thier opinions.

I will vote. He is definitely not a first ballot HOF'er. However, he is a two division champ, was the lineal LW champ and you add his legendary fight with JLC, plus holds win over Casamayor and Freitas that I could see him getting in at some point. But, personally I would vote no.

Great fighter, true warrior. Had it all - fast, strong, could box, good jab, great on the inside, heart and "never-say-die attitude", never ducked anybody and the fact that he had a stint in prison and still came back and became World Champ emphasises his determination and dedication.

One of the most entertaining fighters ever. He was a 3-weight world champion who had great fights, most notably against JLC, Casamayor and Acelino Freitas who were some of the greatest Lightweights of their generation in their respective primes.

So yes, he deserves to be in the HoF, though he is not an ATG.
